How the Rams were built

Dimitroff the GM of the Falcons said on PFT that he admired how the Rams were built. Thru a combination of Draft picks. Goff/Gurley/Donald/Havenstein/Saffold/Brockers etc... and

FA signings Whitworth/Suh/Woods/Sullivan/Barron etc... and

Trades- Peters/Talib/Fowler/Cooks etc...

The Eagles did basically the same thing last yr.

I just wanted to point out that this is the new NFL and you have to do more than just build thru the draft. Although the draft should still be the foundation of the team.

This is what I've been advocating for doing the last 5-7 yrs. Hopefully Cal has taken notice now that he's in charge and the DT trade in midseason is a sign of change within the Texans org and he gives Gaine free reign to bring a Lombardi to Kirby.

The Texans could use ballsy ownership that puts winning 1st. This would start by hiring a ballsy GM and Cal keeping his balls out of the way.

I don’t think anyone here believes any different, though we are aware of the fact the Texans think differently.

& those who will point out the Texans don’t believe in this will point out, the Rams ain’t nothing to aim at. Sure, they’re doing better than us right now, but if we’re looking at the past six years, neither the Rams or the Texans have brought home a Super Bowl.

Remember you said 2nd place is the 1st loser.

Again, we’d all love the Texans to successfully navigate the draft & FA. They haven’t.

Yet, we still hope. Hope, that the next group successfully navigate something.

Lets let the Texans make an AFCCG before even trying to compared the teams relative success. The Rams have rebuilt, become a playoff team and made a SB in the 18 yrs the Texans org has been in business. There's really no comparison of the 2 teams success levels.
