With all this talk that well most likely draft Laron Landry, or Levi Brown, or Brady Quinn, I got this feeling we'll end up drafting someone thats never even been mentioned and all this speculation is really a waste of time. Who's with me?
IMP I think you could very well be right, I'm begining to think all the Quinn talk coming out of the texans FO/Coaching Staff and all the Carr on the Trading Block info. is/was a smoke screen to place more value on our #8 so we can trade down. Think about it even the trade-up rumor could help our position should the phone ring on draft morning.
We all agree that we have so many holes on this team that no matter what number we pick at in the 1st round that player no matter who it is will most likely be a starter on this team, for that matter our 2nd rounder too. O.K. so will our 3rd rounder.
So to answer your question there is a good/great chance your right and when we trade down NONE of the names we are talking about will be on the board so we get a extra 2nd/3rd and with our 1st rounder we deal with someone like L Hall(CB Mich.),Hughes(CB Cal),D Tyler(DT N.C. ST),Carriker(DE Neb.),or Nelson(S Fl).Any one of these players will help our team.
I fast becoming a trade-down fan think about a extra pick in the second round. Players like this MIGHT still be there:
Mcauley CB F.S. / Allison WR E. Car. / M. Bush RB Louisville
Beekman C B.C. / Timmons OLB Fl. St. / Abiamiri DE N.D.
K Irons RB Auburn / Wilson CB Maryland / Gonzalez WR O.S.
Kalil C USC / Thomas DT Fl. / Grubbs G Auburn
Woodley DE Mich. / Revis CB Pitt. / Griffin S Tx.
Could we all be happy with TWO of any of these players, all players we have not focused on because they are not "Top Tier" but all could be staters for us.
Sorry I got so long winded but so much is possable at this point had to get it all in.
