ehhh niiiiiiceee picture. I still think folks should check out the star cinema grill sometime and watch the game on the theater screen. The time we went we had a blast, of course it was for the Carolina game and they won so that always makes it great.
 
Is Heartbreakers out of the question? Probably some of the best servers you'll get. If the game sucks you're not really that mad just well because the other view around you. I beleive they usually serve free food on game days to.

This was a special request based on someone's belated BDAY. Besides 290 isn't 45 S or I-10 W.

I CRINGE when we go to Stef and Adam's because of the new spur construction at Nasa, you never know what condition 45 is in down that way. I also avoid Katy like the plague because of I-10. Fortunately, never really have any reason to go to Katy!

Y'all have to remember, we're spoiled. Lindsay is 5 blocks from work. I am 7 minutes from work. We're 15 minutes (on a bad day) from Reliant :)

School is about 10-12 minutes.

oh its not so bad. I've only been T-boned once there at nasa and 45 this year. All you have to do is just close your eyes hold your breathe and relax. Open your eyes after 30 seconds and if you've made it to 518 you're good to go.

I'm on I-10 east by Mercury. I could drive to Clearlake after church (downtown) but it's quicker to just drive home. Love you guys, but I don't want to miss the game.
 
Darn! Tobin's is just a couple of miles from my house, but I won't be able to make it!
On Sunday, I'll be building a trebuchet..errr...I mean my daughter will be building a trebuchet for for her physics project.

I doubt we'll make it, thats an hour drive from my house. We might up hitting Vitos or Star Cinema Grill. Both are closer and have great Texans atmosphere.
 
I always think about you guys/gals at the watch parties, but, as usual when the TEXANS are on the road, I have to work. I won't complain though, since my job never gives me grief being off when the Texans are at home.

You all have a GREAT time!! PLEASE TEXANS, don't let the dream I had last night come true!!!:hairpull:
 
Ryan and I will be there, since a miracle occured and I managed to get the weekend off!!! My friend Water Polo Mike will probably come with us too! See you all soon! :texflag:

How is the Star when there's a large group of people in there? Say like 30, 50, or 100?

Do you think they would be too loud for the place?

I guess if that many folks show up they just open up another theater and show on as many as they can to aleviate some of the noise. We ended up going to Vitos and hanging out with Anti-Bush. I got a lil inibriated but fun none the less.

I spent the night before at my brother's in South Shore Harbor, and left right around game time.
Tobin's is just too far, so I decided to check out the star.

The screen is a little on the dark side, and not very clear. But it's pretty good.
Except there was only about 10 people (none from the board, I don't think.)

They showed it on screen #6, right close to the entrance. It's easy to walk out front to have a smoke. The bar is right out front, that's also convenient, they have a nice set-up. The kitchen seems to be functioning quite efficient. There were at least half a dozen servers (do they have to be 21 to serve adult beverage? ahem. :cool: )

Overall, I think it's a good experience.
It's different than a sport bar, if you want to check out the other games, you have to sit at the bar (I can't remember how many big screens they have, 3 I think, and these are of good quality.)
The manager told me they are looking to upgrade next year to improve the video in the theatre.
That will be great.
