I'm fine with the play-calling there at the end. He sent his receivers out on routes, Looked like case read through a progression, checked down to Jean a couple of times.... I bet Jean was told to cut his route at the sticks (not under).

Case made good decisions, no need to force it. If something was open in the middle, he'd have taken it & we'd have taken a timeout. Instead, we get Jean going out of bounds, & got us close enough to take a shot into the end zone. Personally I'd have liked to run everyone into the endzone, but Martin. Catch him at about the 20 & treat it like a punt return.

But hey..... that probably wouldn't have worked any better than the Hail Mary.
 
Color me impressed!

I love the fact that recievers are hit in stride, and that Keenum looks well posed in the pocket.

Future QB of the Texans? no clue, but right now he's the best thing we have to put out there :)
 
I gotta say that I'm pretty OK with how the game is going right now. I'm hoping we get a full 4 quarters out of the offense and a great 2nd half out of the defense. Maybe Wade can channel Bum and make all the right adjustments during halftime.

Keenum is looking very good. Unless he has a total meltdown in the 2nd half, I think we might see Schaub IR'd during the bye week. It's so dang nice to see the ball spread around and receivers hit in stride. I hope Foster is healthy after the bye and ready to stick it to the Dolt's.
 
case is showing his poise, moving around, reading defenses/calling audibles, and seeing the open receivers. it's hard to defend that.

defense is making smith look good.
 
Case looks like a damn vet out there, and his confidence is obvious. I really think we are looking at the future Superbowl winning QB of the texans.

There was a legit chance at points but they wasted 35 seconds in between the first and second plays of the drive. The chance of getting points went down significantly because of all that time wasted.

I don't care who is quarterback, I want them being aggressive in getting points. Wasting 35 seconds intentionally to start a drive with two timeouts is not being aggressive.

I think if case earns his trust he'll let him floor it in those instances. Can't fully trust him yet. Need a larger sample size.

Watt is sleepwalking through this one, by the way... I sure would like to see some disguised zone coverage in second half. Maybe if Ed reed took over as d.c. And Phillips went in at free safety things would look better on defense.
 
Can't believe they wasted a good 35 seconds on that last drive before halftime. Kubiak is such a ***** I can't stand it
