Houston Texans: Jawhar Jordan

It will be interesting in camp. Pierce is favorite for RB2 and would give you two hammers to wear out a defense. But Jordan has the vision/instincts for the scheme that we hope Pierce will have acquired this offseason. Let the competition sort it out!

People often say and/or hope that a RB can develop instincts and vision. Can anyone name a handful of RBs who actually developed those skills after year two? From my experience it's either something you have or don't have. Could be wrong though

Pierce had it in his first year, lost it in his second year, now it's his third year coming up. It would be nice if he could find it again.

Between the three of them, there will be a lot of competition which should make all three of them better.
Iron sharpens iron.

Eh, was it true vision, or was it the offensive running scheme and the fact that he is a straight ahead plodding kinda-powerback?
I think he showed good vision & instinct to run in a gap system, he wasn't blindly running to a spot. He shouldn't have had such a hard time adjusting to a zone scheme, especially inside zone.

To me, he just didn't have that power he displayed as a rookie, instead he was going down at first or second contact.

He was a very punishing runner as a rookie, not so much last year.

Guy helped me big time in fantasy in his rookie year hahaha

Different style offense takes a different kind of vision. Pierce said he was going to work on making sharper cuts and learn where the holes are in this off-season. Let's hope he's able to pull this off. It was obvious he was thinking instead of running instinctually last year.

Jawhar Jordan! Where did you go, bro? We devote a thread to you and you sort of disappeared. What's up with that?

This is where i’m at with Pierce as well. I remember he lost weight last offseason to try to be a Christian McCaffrey type back. But that’s not who he is… it took the edge off his game. Hopefully he’s back to his rookie weight and ready to run angry again.
