Houston Texans @ Jacksonville Jaguars. 10/18. 12:00 PM. CBS **Official Game Thread**

Bulls on Parade

2017 Astros: Earn It!
2nth0rb.jpg

The 1-4 Houston Texans versus the 1-4 Jacksonville Jaguars. The losing team will drop to 1-5 and take over sole possession of last place in the AFC South. Unless by some frightening occurrence they end up in a tie.

This game could be a big one late in the season when teams are positioning themselves for a higher draft pick, including the #1 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. There are a lot of bad teams out there. I don't have much confidence in any of the quarterbacks we have on our current roster.

It's important that the Texans end up with a top five pick so they can draft a good quarterback in the first round. Top five would be nice, top three is better and the number one overall pick would be a nice bonus for us. If we lose a game like today we're very much alive for that #1 overall pick.

With all that being said I hope the Houston Texans win today but I expect another loss.

This is how I feel going into every Texans game.
It will take a miracle for us to win! #BabesOnParade

Get fired up Texans fan, the only reason we're not 1-15 is because we haven't played 16 games. Tomorrow we take one step in resolving that issue. Everybody put a hand in, Quarterback shuffle on 3....

Will Brian Cushing dominate today? I keep hoping to see the Brian Cushing of old but it hasn't happened yet. After his amazing training camp, Hard Knocks performance and preseason domination (most notably against the Saints), I thought he was primed for a big 2015 season.

I was hoping the knee injuries were in the past. Our defense just hasn't been good enough and part of it is Cushing isn't the #56 beast I was hoping he'd be. Not to mention Jadaveon Clowney isn't dominating yet either but he's slowly making plays.

Maybe sometime soon we'll be where we need to be on defense but it may be too late to salvage our 2015 season. If we lose today, at 1-5, our playoff hopes are pretty much over.

Has an NFL team ever started 1-5 and made the playoffs before? And if so it has to be a very small percent, as in one or two teams. I can't even recall one team off the top of my head.

Well okay, I digged it up on-line. One team only.

In the Super Bowl Era, only ONE team has started 1-5 and made the playoffs; in fact, they started 1-6. The 1970 Cincinnati Bengals won their Division and went on to the AFC Playoffs. They were shutout in that Playoff game by the BALTIMORE Colts, 17-0.

So it gives me hope if we lose today and next week, at 1-6, it's still possible!! LOL

In the battle of suckville we're both losers! But hey, someone has to lose this yawn feast.

I predict the losing coach gets the dreaded "vote of confidence" from his owner.

I also predict that owner's name rhymes with "Sob Despair".

P.S. Nice thong.

yeah, not really cool since this is a popular thread people anywhere need to be able to open...

PLEASE REMOVE: (or safer pics) so that we don't have to lock this one.

I removed it, but was it really that bad? How many people are at work right now, anyway? I don't know, I'm sure he can find something else.

Pregame status report:
Hoyer took a sack and turned the ball over in warm-ups,
he's been benched in favor of Ryan Mallet who was able
to move the ball in 7-on-7 drills

None of it is bad by my personal standards, but i would not want the "bible on the table" crowd to garner unwanted attention

So it is so bad for us that on game day morning we are more talking indirectly a Jag's cheerleaders' butt than anything Texans.

Things are looking dark for our beloved Texans this season. But it's a new week and with that new hope. There are some fans hoping for more losing so the Texans can secure a top 3 draft slot and hope to land a top QB prospect in the 2016 draft, and I can't really blame them. That said, I am cheering for a win today and our team to finally come together and start playing like a team.

Here are some new emoji's. I think we will be needing them the rest of the season. Who do we need to upload these into the system?

I'm at work, but would love a link to the thong pic.....

thank you.

Hopkins looks like he could play some DB.

Nice defense there on that traditional Hoyer softball.

How are there so many shitty QBs in the NFL? All you have to do is put the ball up high and wait for the flags to fly.

We are getting so many damn calls from these zebras, you can't watch the game. Both teams suck so bad it is making it unwatcheable.

Sunday Ticket streaming crapped out on my PS4. Damn app has been troublesome all year long.

Well hell, that looked like an NFL drive and TD. Maybe the defense can get off their ass and do something productive.

Unfortunately, the offense just seems to run smoother with Hoyer. Which means he's likely gonna be the QB from now on. Get used to close games where the offense gives us hope the whole day until we Hoyer it in the fourth quarter.

Hoyer better hope he doesn't get a booboo.

Yea, something tells me we'll be using a timeout in that situation moving forward.

Now that OB has come full circle I don't think we see Mallett again unless Hoyer gets an actual injury that requires him to miss time.

My God. These Jacksonville helmets get uglier every time I see them.

Sad isn't it.

Little faith because we've seen this show before.

Mallett screwed up acting like a spurned high school girl on the sidelines after he got the hook. That didn't play too well after the alarm clock fiasco. He probably cooked his goose until Hoyer throws at least 2 pick 6's.
