Two plays to pick up four yards. We couldn't find a tight end over the middle? Even if we had to put Watt in there. Those were two deep passes and mis-communications with Hopkins. Now we need our D to give us one more chance,

well looks like we are going to continue to be that team that gets moral victories but can't get over the hump.
 
We need a reliable pass-catching tight end desperately on this team. A security blanket who can make the big catches on third and 4 or even fourth and 4. Not having Andre Johnson, our best possession go-to guy hurts obviously but still...
 
You put the play in the hands of a rookie 4th round pick in his first playing time instead of Foster?:wadepalm:

Exactly right. Expecting Tom Savage to see Damaris open 30 yards down the field was asking for a lot. He was eyeing Hopkins the entire time. We didn't have an easy 5-or-7 yard route over the middle to a tight end. Those plays work too. We just don't have a good tight end. J.J. Watt is our best pass-catching tight end. Maybe should have put him in the game on those two plays on 3rd and 4 and 4th and 4. A decoy if nothing else.

We need a qb who can see the entire field. Savage may get there but I could of sworn I saw Foster open in the middle.

Yes you have to account for Watt as have has proven he can catch. Will be interesting to see how OB drafts this next time.
