Houston Texans @ Cleveland Browns. 11/16. Noon. CBS. **Official Gameday Thread**

Mallett just sliced apart the Cleveland defense there, but that might not have happened if the Browns player hadn't been picked by the ref.

Should have played Mallet a lot sooner obviously.

Night and day difference, he's not tearing it up out there but the pace is faster and he's using the TEs. He gets the ball out quick and it feels like he has to be accounted for as a threat down the field.

Wasted those first 9 games with Fitzpatrick tbh.

Mallet has chauked up 133 yds on 10 for 16.........and yardage and catches should have been still even higher if there were no dropped passes. I believe we may have found our QB.

lol = sarcasm

I'm with you. I think it sucks that everyone expects Cushing to be playing like Cushing so soon after two major knee surgeries. Maybe it's their hate for Rick Smith.

I do appreciate CnD's insight, but he's not treating Brian Cushing. He's making good guesses, but that's all they are. Good guesses.

Hopefully Brian is continuing to get better. We need him to.

He was talking about Fitz, not Cushing

Damn guys. It feels good to have a confident and aggressive quarterback. Someone you can have faith in with the game on the line. It has been too long.

What's happening with Bullock, short kickoffs

He's fat. :D

********

I couldn't have asked for more from Mallett. The guy is into it. He LOOKS like a quarterback.

Has anyone seen Fitz when they show a shot of Houston's bench? I could easily have missed it, but I wonder if he's sitting on the end of the bench texting or something...lol.

"He's tall, he can see down the field" -- OB on Mallett

More tempo(hurry-up) offense in 2nd half. -- OB on what they're looking for.

Very pleasantly surprised at what I've seen so far.

I even heard Clowney's name called. Somebody wake me up.

I am impressed that the offense actually has an up tempo

And I only remember one time we went 3 and out

Trouble is the rest of the league is watching the same thing we are. Texans better move on this guy now, if he goes to FA it's bye-bye.

Notice how the line looks like an NFL OL. Mallet is not having to scramble... there's pressure, but not what we've seen with Fitz under center.

Offensive line is playing much better. We need that so bad. Hell, even Fitzpatrick could probably play well with an OL like this.

I'll take what Mallet's given so far. Maybe a couple if passes could've been better but overall yeah, way better

just hope cushing gets better. we need him. defensive coach needs to play him to his abilty too. cush has lost a couple steps but his IQ and team player mentailty is needed.

The rest of the league is either playing or preparing to play. We have plenty of time and it's way too early to think about that anyway. So many people here were anointing Keenum during his 1st start as well.

Mallett looks good, but I err on the side of caution. It's going to take more than one solid start against the #20 defense in the league to convince me. Making a reactionary move can be just as damaging as not doing anything.
