Homer Reality Check

Just a note to the Homer's who earlier this season were avioding the obvious and instead buried their heads deep in the sand concerning the competitivness of this years Texans team. Making excuse after excuse as to why Carr and the entire team has played horribly after the losses were mounting.

The harsh reality has probably set in and I for one sympathize because I know what it is like to have rooted for a franchise that continued to mismanage the team for around a decade. If you were smart not only would you show Capers the door but boot Casserly too..these clowns may have ruined David Carr's career and certainly have ruined your team.

There is some talent on your team though not much, but these bafoons have misused the talent you have and selected crap otherwise. How did they not address the offensive line this past offseason? I know you guys have already critically engaged all the problems and good for you..you fans do deserve better than the this crap they are putting on the field!!

So Eat the crow :homer: Homer's but....

Best of Luck this offseason Texan Fans :texflag: and I mean that what they have done to you is simply wrong..thats coming from a freakin Cowboys fan too!! :)

The same reason they didn't address the offensive line the offseason before that and the one before that. Because Charlie loves QBs, cornerbacks, and WRs and he mistakenly believes that the guys who play in the trenches aren't as important as the skill positions.

Damn I hate agreeing with a Cowboys fan!

As a DIE HARD Texans fan, I would never be a part-timer and go over to other teams' boards like you do, especially an in-state rival board such as the Cowladies.

I might go over and say hello to the opposing team's board the week of our game, but I honestly have no idea why you hang out here. Granted, it's a free country and all...but logically I cannot understand your reasoning for coming here as often as you do.

To me, if I went over and hung out at the Cowladies' forum, it would almost make me feel soiled or tainted as a Texans fan. I went there last year just to see what the board was like, and I was uncomfortable even just being a silent bystander for more than five minutes. The DIE HARD Texans fan in me said that I was fooling around on my old lady, and that even though I would never engage in actual relations (posting) with other Cowladies....just the mere fact that I had placed myself in a potentially compromising position was enough to make me leave the board quickly. So I left the Cowladies board, put my sunglasses on, pulled my trench coat collar up and around my face, and crept into the shadows and alleys to avoid being spotted by friends.

Make a choice OK?: Cowladies or TEXANS.

But don't come here and patronize us with your critique as if it makes us feel better that a Cowlady can feel our pain and that you sympathize with us.

The Human Statue gave up a pick and a TD today and you lost a game in overtime on Thanksgiving Day to a washed up RB named Ron Dayne.

Choose: Texans or Cowladies.

1. Why would Cryboy fans care about what is happening with the Texans?? I thought they would be more interested in figuring out what scary plastic surgery to get.

(Apologies if that caused you to regurg your Thanksgiving day meal)

2. It is a happy Thanksgiving any time that the Cowboys have a disappointing loss. Sorry, but it just is.

3. The term of art for addressing that bandwagon team to the north is "Cryboys", "Cowpatties", "Cowpies", "Duhboys", etc. Please feel free to add some of your faves. Jim Rome is fond of "America's Crackwagon." There is something to that. However, my personal preference is to avoid the terms "Cowgirls" or "Cowladies" as it is extraordinarily insulting to us womens and it is like insulting your mama and you don't want to do that. :)

Excellent post! :)

And to the dude who doesn't 'get' why some folks peruse other forums...there are several reasons and many of us TEXANS fans here do it. Makes us no less a fan. I do not go to the crackhouse lame star board of the north, but some do.

But there is no excuse for Cryboy fans here though.
In the famous immortal words of Tedc....D U L L U S S sucks. :ok:

It's just the way it is.

I hate NFL OTs - except of course when it is in favor of my team. lol That was a good game. Had Drew not thrown those INTs, Cowboys probably would have won.

1. The team to the north likes to be called "Cowboys"

2. Some people like to feminize the name and call them "Cowgirls" and mean it in a derogatory way. Like being a girl is worse than being a boy. Your mama was once a girl, and you don't want to compare them bandwagoners to your mama. Because that is Just Wrong. So, in my mind, there are better words to use.

3. Of course, calling them "Cowpatties" or "Cowpies" is insulting to cow excrement.

There's so much to say in response to Texans Chick...but, I choose to NOT politicize this board with a response.

(sigh)

Go Texans!

All of that's true, but I still kind of like cowgirls.

Yeah, I know where you might be going with this and I must say, I am not a big fan of the PC stuff. But.......

The thought of my gender being associated in any way, shape or form with the Cowplops is just repugnant. It turns my stomach. I know people don't mean anything by it, but it is just ick to me. (Yes, I know I need to get more of a life about this stuff, but love of the Texans, disgust of the Cryboys runs deep).

It wasn't intended to be a political statement at all but rather something reflecting my lifelong distaste for that vulgar psuedo-Texas, classless, bandwagony, plastic surgery gettin, drug infested team to the north. (Please feel free to add your own favorite adjectives and assorted invectives).

Yup, Go Texans! :texflag:

:texflag: You can look at the Cowboys and say we were at least as good as them over the last couple of years . It did not take long for the right guy to turn them around ... thats a good thing .
The thing they have done is the last three drafts have been very good to Dallas . They have also only made 1 dumb trade and that was for Hensen .

I can't stand it when an opposing team's fan comes here and tries to encite us into warfare with the ever-famous "I'm your friend and I think it's wrong what blah-blah-blah did to blah-blah-blah," which usually turns to Texan fan-on-Texan fan violence as the opinions begin to pour forth.

And THEN the opposing team's fan just sits back and watches the mayhem and carnage he/she created.

Bengals fan came here and did that this season, and we shut it down pretty quickly. I think it was a baited thread title of something along the lines of "Why are Texans fans so upset at Carr" or something like that. And we had one of our own posters here take the bait and it all got started from there.

Therefore, I'm not afriad to throw out a pre-emptive strike against such offenders.
