Looks like KWII is the odds-on favorite to be the longest holdout. Does anyone know the list of Poston clients taken in the 2004 draft?

Hold the line: The early pick for the last first-round selection who will sign a contract is Miami tight end Kellen Winslow Jr., who was selected by the Cleveland Browns sixth overall.

Winslow Jr. is represented by Carl and Kevin Poston, who usually lead the league in holdouts and currently lead in disgruntled high-profile clients (Orlando Pace, Ty Law, LaVar Arrington and Charles Woodson).

Kevin Poston already has fired the first verbal warning shot. He said Winslow Jr. should be paid like the draft's first pick overall because some teams may have had him as the top player on the board and then compared Winslow Jr. to LeBron James.

''He's an unbelievable talent, a star in the making,'' Kevin Poston said. ''The bottom line is the Browns know how good Kellen is and was projected to be, and my job is to make sure he gets his fair market value.''

No list, but I know Reggie Williams, Chris Gamble, & Karlos Dansby are Poston guys. Steven Jackson actually went through the draft without an agent, but could go with the Postons now.

Winslow is such a favorite to be a holdout that he should be off the board. :)

If you're going to chose the Postons that's probably the best way to do it. Don't want to hurt your chances of going high
 
I don't know how the Postons can say Winslow desrves first pick money instead of the #5 pick money. If he was that good and rated that High some team would have drafted him #1.

They are agents, they believe that clients drafted at the end of the 2nd round deserve 1st round money.
 
sorry for the ignorance but don't they lose some of their barganing power,given that there is a rookie salary cap? I figure almost every agent that has a player in the top 5 has arguments that they could have drafted #1. With Winslow's case it isn't like what Minnesota did last year when they didn't draft in time and other teams jumped ahead of them.
 
agents have a way of messing a lot of things up...i hope winslow appreciates the fact that cleveland traded up to get him...and that should be enough to get him to sign without a hold out

Should be enough, but from a young man who got mad at Wash for not drafting him, because he was late to a meeting with Gibbs, anything is possible.

I heard him say something along the lines of "The Redskins will pay for promising to draft me and not doing so" in an interview following Day 1.
 
Oh. Well he should kinda know why, since it was public that Washington wasn't going to pick him if he got the Postons to be his agent. But I can understand, him being a little mad since his father played for Gibbs, and he must've wanted to do the same.
 
mad is an understatement... it was kinda like Shockey and the Cowboys, only on a more personal level. And considering they were once teammates and both have ****ty attitudes, I would be surprised if Winslow doesnt end up calling Gibbs a **** just like Shockey did to Parcells :jumpbanan
