Here is what Reggie Bush should do.

Practice Squad
Wait and see who picks first. If it is the Texans, have someone find out if they plan on picking Bush. If so, make them aware that he has absolutely no intentions of ever signing on with a team so inept that it can't make a chip shot FG. (of course that was intentional). That's right, pull an Eli. If they plan on taking him, head back to USC just to screw over this pathetic excuse for competitive NFL football.

I guarantee right now this team could not beat USC. They would get confused and think that if they won, they would lose out on the #1 pick and therefor would throw the game. Total loser franchise.

So Reggie Bush passes the draft this year to avoid playing on a crappy team for playing on a different crappy team next year? That makes sense.

I didn't realize that next year the best teams are picking first instead of the worst teams.

If you're scenario worked out and Bush declared that he wouldn't play for the Texans, he'd be better off letting the Texans draft him and trade down like the Chargers did with Eli.

I'm not sure, though, why the Texans are going to be unattractive to an NFL prospect. The team is going to have a completely different coaching staff (and perhaps a different front office) by the time draft day rolls around.

I was watching Reggie Bush this morning on Cold Pizza and frankly was surprised just how polished and ready for prime time he is. I always thought of him as a polite and quiet kid but as he explained his dual personality on & off the field I just never imagined him to be a "trash talker" (his words). If the Texans have the 1st pick and Reggie Bush IS available, one thing is for sure Capers is gone & its gonna take someone like Carroll to bring out the best in our 1st pick, something Carr never had the benifit of which is sad because he looks like a mid level NFL QB now not a franchise QB:cool:

I'm not sure which is dumber, the first or second paragraph.

I totally agree with you here. Houston is one of the best NFL cities and anyone with any intelligence would love to come play here. Other than New York, Los Angelese, Chicago, and the SF/Oakland bay area it is the largest market, it is a great city otherwise, no state income tax to suck out another 10-15% of your salary, a team with some young talent that should be bringing in a new set of coaches and drastically improving in the next couple years, top notch facilities, and a good owner.

What sense does that make? I imagine if Vegas had odds on who would be picking first in next year's draft that the Texans would be favored. So Bush goes back to school to avoid being drafted by the Texans only to get drafted by the Texans after his senior season.

That is what I like about him. He doesn't seem like a Sean Taylor type who you will hear more about his off the field performance rather than his on the field performance. And his dual personality is like Andre Johnson who is quiet and humble off the field, yet a monster on the field.
