This career award crusade for McCarron by the college football awards is ridiculous. His numbers this year were average, as far as winning awards are concerned.

207/306 (67%) for 2676 yards with 26 TD's and 5 INT's.

His numbers last year were superior, but there was no media crusade to get him awards then. People just can't seem to comprehend the fact that a team won 2 MNC's without having a star QB.

Meanwhile, a guy like Bridgewater puts up better numbers but doesn't finish top 8 because his defense gave up 38 pts to UCF (a game in which he threw for 341 and 2 TD's). Also, how McCarron finished 2nd and Manziel finished 5th is beyond me.
