Harrington down.......

New York Times: Harrington was recently invoved in a tragic accident this past tuesday. Reports say he was at Elton Johns Estate while they were recording a Lions fight song on the piano, when he accidenty got one of his fingers wedged in between 2 of the keys. Sources say he was rushed to the Hospital where he recieved 10 stitches on the index finger of his right hand. Coach Mariucchi told reporters today "It was a freak accident i dont know why joey keeps playing that d*** piano all the time anyway, we even had a piano put in the locker room for him to relax him before games. I guess now that is out of the question". He also said Harrington is questionable for the game against the Texans this sunday. Elton John was questioned by officals after the accident and said "it happened so fast I dont know what happened, i just hope he's ok and still able to play in the game sunday".Coach Mariucchi, is going to have a press conference thursday at 1:30 pm to say if his starting quaterback would be able to play in sundays game.

Any of yall hear about this ?

Like I said over there, that is actually pretty funny. You should have seen what the guys on TLF did for April Fools Day. The busted out with a real looking article about how Harrington had a relapse of his heart condition, etc...Had alot of people going.

I can't believe the people over there, 'is this real?" from a poster with the name Texans4Life, or whatever, sheesh, gullible (sp?)

OK i dont know if this is a joke or not i just posted it HoustonTexans4Life is the one that told me about it so i read it and posted it here. But its prolly just a dumb joke

Finger wedged between two piano keys? What kind of fingers does he have? Appearantly not of the human variety. I think it logical to take this as a joke.

Perhaps he has a GIANT piano. With GIANT keys to match. I think it makes complete sense

ok ok ok ,,,,so i made it up and put it on the lions board it was meant to be funny but obviously some people went searching for it . it was a JOKE but thats why i didnt make it realistic,,,,i didnt think it was to bad !

didnt jake plummer break his foot kicking his dog or something before? something i heard a while back seriously

That was Brian Griese. He didn't kick his dog, but he reportedly tripped over his dog and fell down the stairs. I'm not sure if he broke his foot or sprained his knee or something to that extent. After that year I believe is when the Broncos let him go, and went after Plummer.

I know Plummer broke his foot last year when he curled his toes to crack them and accidentally broke his foot.

You could post saying an alien spaceship landed at Reliant Park and abducted David Carr and you would have people fall for it. Makes you wonder sometimes.

thats no lie

New York Times: It seems while The Texans were out doing there 12 drills an unidentified flying object shot out of the sky and Obducted David Carr. They are sure he will be back but not sure if it will be in time for Sundays Gmae so they are trying to decide who to start against the lions.

This just in....

Houston, TX (AP) - Houston Quarterback David Carr, who was abducted last night by an alien space craft, is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Lions. Head Coach Dom Capers seemed less than optomistic when asked about the odds of having his starter back in time for the noon kick-off on Sunday. "These things are always unpredictable," Capers said Tuesday afternoon. "You never know if these aliens are from Mars, Neptune, Dallas or who knows where. But you know, the Detroit guy broke his hand playing a piano or something so it could be worse." In related news, the Texans defense was abducted by aliens in early August and have not been located since.

I love these pre-game breaking news stories.

I've been lurking this meassage board since last December and never had more of a reason to post than to say this: "Keep em' Coming!"

I think the concept of making a breaking news story involving some outlandish situation for the team the Texans are about to play is awesome.
I think it's a great way of pumping up and unifying the fans who aren't there live to tailgate or chat it up before the game, but can visit the message board from time to time.

I just hope that others feel the same way and plan to pass the torch for the rest of the season.

I stopped watching Football when the Oilers moved and didn't startw atching again until las december. I'll admit that I don't know enough about the NFL or the current state of the other teams to pull off a story myself.

But I will be watching expectantly.

now that was a good one,,,you should be a writer for those tabloids,,,NOT BAD and i'm starting to wonder if maybe that really did happen to our defense
