Haason Reddick

jradMIT

Veteran
Undersized DE out of Temple looking to transition to ILB/OLB. Had a great senior bowl. He's was reported to hold up well in coverage despite having little to no experience. Been described as athletic, explosive, instinctive and versatile. Had great production his senior year 65 tackles, 22.5 tackles for a loss, nine sacks, three forced fumbles, and an interception. He's thought to be making a push up the board into the first. I like the versatility and explosiveness, he could be a great blitzer or someone to be athletic enough to run with rbs out of the backfield.

My favorite LB in this draft. If you want him and are very lucky he may fall to 25.

My 2nd favorite LB in this draft is Watt

3rd favorite is Alex Anzelone who you may get in the 3rd rd because of a broken arm. He looks and plays a lot like Clay Matthews.

I've got another question for you draftniks, if a trade was available to fall to 2-15 and pick up another 3rd would you do it?

That's probably not enough, 22 picks back is a lot you would probably want another pick like a 5th.

That would depend on how the draft is flowing I would think... if a bunch of defense goes early pushing the offensive guys you want down (assuming you go that way) it wouldn't neccessarily be a bad thing, but not a great thing

I would love to get Reddick, but I doubt he falls to 25. TJ would be a great one in the second.

why do you think that? He's currently rated higher than that. CBS has him at #31 overall
Hes way to raw for ILB where most project him. Too small for DE. Its all guess work with him. I remeber a few years ago Kevin Reddick and a jid from Rutgers where "rated high" and became udfas

I don't understand how people see him as an ILB. He's an undersized edge player. That screams OLB to me. I think he could possibly take the Von Miller route and play SLB in a 43, but I don't think that would maximize his ability.

I don't think he has the length to be a pure 34 edge rusher. But I do think that he could maximize his ability by playing the SOLB position in a 34. He won't be a master of any one trade but he could be a valuable mixture of specific skills.

I think you can move him around and blitz him. I also think he has the tools to cover backs and has a nose for the football.

Coverage ability and he thumps for his size.

Could Haason Reddick land in the top five?

NFL.com's Lance Zierlein projected Temple LB/EDGE Haason Reddick to go off the board at No. 5 to the Titans.

No prospect has improved their evaluation more during the process than Reddick. He fits in every scheme thanks to his pass rushing skill and comfort in open space when dropping into coverage. He can bend while turning the corner and close thanks to great athleticism. He could be the first off-ball linebacker off the board, or one of the top three edge rushers off the board.

Nobody has rose faster or as far this guy.
