Gruden hinting at return???

No Longer Arlington: Escaped From Jerry's World

I am sure that this will bleed into the Texans talk section, but is really an NFL issue at large.

From the site many love to hate:
It’s in your blood,” Gruden told Eisen regarding a possible return to coaching, via JoeBucsFan.com. “You get some people calling maybe to see if you’re interested in coaching again and maybe if you can help recommend a couple of guys. I’m pretty much involved with every level of football every day of the week, so I try to help if I can.

“One of these days, who knows, Rich? One of these days, you never know.”

Translation: One of those days could be coming soon.

“I have talked to people in years past. I plan on just keeping my options open,” Gruden said. ”If something comes along down the road, we’ll take a look at it.”

Translation: Call me.

University of Tennessee fans have been talking all year about Gruden replacing Butch Jones when he is inevitably fired. I guess we'll see. They talk like it's a done deal already.

He's rumored to be coming here also. He will be coming here to be inducted into the Bucs Ring of Honor, which could get awkward with the current HC.

There are some rumblings that the Raiders might try to hire him if this season continues it's current nosedive.

I don’t know how I feel about Gruden.

I guess he’s be an upgrade over OB.
I still want to believe that Bill O'Brien is coming back, but if we do finish 3-13 something has to give. And some of O'Brien's recent interviews in the past week alone have got me thinking that he's starting to feel the pressure that this may be his last year in Houston.

More than once this week O'Brien has frantically told reporters when referring to him coaching better and that he's the reason we're losing games, "as long as I'm here coaching the Houston Texans that's the answer I'm going to give you!" O'Brien is way too defensive and sensitive to all the losing lately. I think Deshaun Watson's season-ending injury ruined any chance of him returning. I honestly think he's going back to coaching college football after this year.

If Bill O'Brien leaves after this season I think Jon Gruden is one of the few guys out there that I'd love to see coach Deshaun Watson.

OB ain't going anywhere after this season. And Gruden is no Dick Vermiel. Gruden might be able to build a team if he has control, but I doubt it... his career at TB after the first 2 years was meh... he's terribly over rated and probably out of date currently. He's happy where he is and should stat there.

maybe we should try for Brian Billick... :texanbill:

Honestly I think had the Bucs kept Tony Dungy they still would have won that Super Bowl in 2002, probably would have beaten Gruden's Raiders(though it surely would have been a much closer game).
