Hmm, geee, I wonder why. Rexxxy, you're soo sneaky.
uh, oh. Ben Tate is smiling like a doggy with a big pork chop.
I've been following the Jets RB situation and Shonn Green has no long speed and looks sluggish and their back ups are expansion quality. Grimes is a definite upgrade. He's gonna get some carries...you can bet on that.Hmm, geee, I wonder why. Rexxxy, you're soo sneaky.

Probably, after they've held him in a room for a few hours breaking down our offense. Ha
"Uh, I run the ball that way on that play and Coach Kubiak told me not to f*ck it up"
Seriously doubt a practice squad rookie RB knows our offense as well as even Rex Ryan who's played us twice.

It's up to Sanchez and Tebow now.
There has been at least one lengthy thread about trading Tate. Some including me have said Grimes could be part of Foster/Fossett/Grimes in 2013. Removal of Grimes puts a bit more weight into keeping Tate thru his last contract year 2013.You lost me.
Someone like Nolan to the Dolphins....maybe a playbook signing.
Grimes is too talented for BS.
Unless Grimes can tell Rex how to rebuild Revis Island...the Jets are effed anyway. No more ultra-aggressive defense with an elite corner shutting down one side of the field. It's up to Sanchez and Tebow now.

Someone needs to photoshop them into Batman and Robin. I think Tebow is Batman and Sunchips is Robin. I know it's kinda bassackwards, but it works for me.If that's true, then you almost have to feel sorry for them.![]()
Isn't our offense pretty obvious?
1) The Texans like to run the ball...a lot. They are effective at one cut and go running.
2) The Texans like to use playaction pass and will pass the ball down the field or will use shorter routes.
3) The Texans play a 3-4/4-3 1 gap hybrid defense and generally man coverage.
What are they really going to learn that they can't see on film and that which is not obvious?

He's been a disappointment but like Jackson, he's improved as he has matured. Who I think will be exploited by Kubiak is Ellis Lankster, who moves to the nick. I read somewhere that with Revis they give up 55% completion rate and without him its 65% and 3 more ypc (or something close to those figures).Well now I think we will get to see if the Texans should have gone with Kyle Wilson instead of Kareem Jackson. I expect him to be in their rotation at the #2 CB spot. It will be interesting to see him go against Walter, Martin, Posey and Daniels.

I really hate the Jets. Does anyone remember at the end of the 2009 season when we were fighting for a playoff spot and needed the Jets to win? I felt like they purposely lost to screw us.
Of the big 3 only Jackson was asked to start right away and he got burnt more than Mr. Buchanan...well maybe not that much but it was still bad. Neither McCourty or Wilson were asked to start and instead provided nickle and dime coverage.
Why do people always bring this up when someone is signed away from us?
I think it is from what happened with the Giants when Rosenfels was there and we got absolutely murdered and it was pretty obvious that they knew all of our snap counts and audibles and what not. Obviously, that was our backup QB, though, and unlikely to happen again with a PS running back.
The Big 3 of that draft class were Devin McCourty, Kyle Wilson, and Kareem Jackson. I personally preferred McCourty becuase I saw him as a physical man corner and Wilson more as a zone specialist. At the I ranked Jackson as #3 overall becuase he was not really great at either. I had him as a nickle corner due to a lack of make up speed.

Neither McCourty or Wilson were asked to start and instead provided nickle and dime coverage. Fast forward a couple of seasons and Wilson really hasn't developed as expected. A case could be made that Jackson has outplayed Wilson last year and the begining of this year. McCourty on the other hand has looked solid. While he has not looked elite, he looks like an average starting NFL cornerback.
If the Jets are smart they will try to help their young CB with safety help. This will leave large parts of the other side of the field open to Daniels, Walter, and Foster/Tate. If the Texans can establish that run game, it will force the other safety to play in tight opening up the middle of the field.
With the quality of our roster we'll have to get used to teams poaching some talented prospects from the team. As long as Smith keeps on drafting great it will happen every year.

That's an extemely good thing!! When other teams start to poach your players, that means you have really nice depth!!! Losing Grimes (and I hate that we did) is equivalent of "you have good talent""!! I'm stoked!!!!
Bingo. That game, I still remember it...there was like NOTHING positive that we could do that game. It was the first time I remember thinking "****, it's no use. They sniffing out everything we try to do."
It was miserable. Then there's Sage Rosenfels over there with the clipboard and cap on, yeah...I wonder how we got owned on every single freaking offensive play we attempted??? LOL. Hmm.....
Why couldn't it be some other tram besides the jets?
I'm upset that we lost him period, but to the jets?
Heh, what do you wanna bet Sage got a game ball for that performance...
Texans sign rookie RB Davin Meggett to practice squad to replace Jonathan Grimes

I just saw that the Jets are moving Joe McKnight to CB.
That can't be right, can it? Your best option as a backup CB, out of all the CBs that have to be on practice squads, is your backup RB? And so you sign a RB from another team's practice squad to take his place?
The mind wobbles.
Can he cover Andre Johnson?
