Great Debate: Johnson vs. Moss in fantasy

I've given up fantasy football b/c it just takes too much time for me... but it's a whole different beast than "real football".

I don't know how they're going to do this year or even how many points they scored last year. It depends on what kind of league you're in, I've never played in one that values # of receptions, for example.

But the thing that always got me is that Dre, as good as he is, has never scored over 9 TDs in a season... for his career. Moss has done that in each of the last 3 season. Dre has scored 25 TDs to Moss' 47 TDs over the last 3 seasons.

Real life? I say AJ is the best WR in the league and I take him over anybody. Fantasy? Him just being in the talks of one of the best and a 1st rounder is good enough for me! Then again, I'm not picking :)

Well AJ gets ALOT of yards. Plus he catches alot of balls. In some leagues you get a point for every reception.

I'd go with AJ. 1400 yards, 100 receptions, 8 TDs equals out to 288 points. Moss at 1200 yards, 80 receptions, 12 TDs equals out to 272.

It adds a whole new dynamic when a league gives out points per reception. TDs turn out to not be the deciding factor anymore. Look at a guy like Eddie Royal. He may catch 6 balls a game but only catch 5 TDs in a season. Another receiver who catches 4 balls a game but catches 8 TDs in the same season actually earns 14 points less than Eddie Royal over the course of the season. Additionally, people draft backs that catch alot of balls and receivers alot higher than in a draft that doesn't include PPR.

Just a fantasy tip or two in there for you. Fantasy is all about math, and being able to apply simple math to what you already know. It only takes me like 10 minutes a week to decide who I am going to start...and I may use an additional 15 minutes a week looking over trades/free agency.
