General Talk Of General Managers

Next week, Houston's general manager Charley Casserly is expected to meet with Texans owner Bob McNair. Many expect Casserly to leave Houston and become the top candidate for the job that Art Shell vacated in the NFL.

If Casserly opts to leave, then the Texans leading candidate would become Broncos assistant general manager Rick Smith. The Texans also are expected to consider Packers director of pro personnel Reggie McKenzie and Panthers director of college scouting Tony Softli -- two deserving candidates.

Hmm ... do you think Reggie M might be persuaded to put on the pads one more time? He was a pretty good OL in his day.

hmmm... import one more Bronco and we might as well start calling ourselves the Houston Stallions. Not really complaining... yet. Just sayin.

You can't really argue with the Panthers picks, then seem to have done a top notch job so I'd go with him.

That's what I was thinking about Softli.
