GB's current cap is $76 million if Farve comes back. If he doesn't their cap is $66 million. They have to spend $86 mil according to CBA. Rumor is new head coach is not sold on Rogers. With a possible $20 mil to spend they could easily afford the #1 pick be it Young or Bush. If they offered their #5 pick, Javon Walker and next years #1 pick would you take it?

Since they haven't done much in the off season the probablities of high pick (top 5) next year is intriquing.
 
What if we could trade them Carr and Davis + their full cap hits for the number five pick. Then we could have Bush and probably Young...oh oh and then we could try and get Steve Mcnair for a few years to tutor Young...

I would not want Javon Walker now that we have Moulds. We would have to rework his deal and he would want too much money. Now, if we could work it as part of a 3 way deal...

My personal belief is that if someone is wanting to trade to # 1, it will be for Reggie. If they want a QB, it will be with the Saints.

SF gets a 37 overall for Walker!!! That's a great deal for them. Throw in their thrid round pick too. But still, that trade is very unlikely.

Bob Wolfley, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports Green Bay Packers WR Donald Driver said the team should let Packers WR Javon Walker go, given the bad feelings Walker has about the organization. "Right now, Javon, what he's telling everyone is that he wants out," Driver told radio station WAUK-AM (1510) Thursday morning, April 13. "I would love to have him he knows I love him dearly. But if he wants out, the best thing to do is just let him go. Go where he's going to go; somewhere else and be happy."

The Saints are only in the drivers seat, if we decide not to listen to all offers. IMO it comes down to who has contacted the Saints with the best offer and the other team deciding they will sweeten the pot and come to Houston.

I hope everyone understands that the jockeying is for the rights to pick ML and it comes down to 2 teams, Titans and Jets.

If we played our cards right, we could end up with D'Brick and as crazy as it sounds, LenDale White with the early R2 pick. With DD playing, White could recoup and has the time and luxury to get in NFL game shape (230 lbs). This leaves us in a position to use the 2 - R3 picks on DB's. I also contact the Poston's about lowering their demands so Arrington can bring an impact to a young and rising team.
