Gamethread: Houston at Tampa Bay

I'm not going to read all of the above posts. My opinion is that David Carr is not the QB that he was drafted to be. I think that Tony Banks is a better QB at this point of a season that starts next week in Buffalo!

No, because Symons is hurt so we need another QB...
the 3rd string guy is usually a young QB to develope...Banks needs to go, and Ragone deserves to get his shot at the #2.

We do have Parsons right now, and we could bring in another young guy to develope. IMHO, Banks is done.

Please, all that is Holy, No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it's anybody, not that is should be, it should be Ragone.

Very classy move by Chucky Gruden trying to run up the score in a preseason game.

Are we going to go back to this argument again? If we don't want teams to run up the score on us then we should stop them.

I know, it's preseason.

Pathetic display tonight, the best play by David Carr was spiking the ball in disgust. It would have been better to throw the ball at the entire o-line. Everyone on both sides of the ball seemed as if they had no desire to play football. If that is there attitude then I would rather watch an entire season of 2nd and 3rd stringers who want the job and have the desire to win. That was evident by the performance of Ragone and Swinton and several others towards the end of the game.

You know it's interesting you said that. Somebody called 610 the other day with the question of "what if" Capers lost his job. The consensus was that Gruden would be high on the Texans wish list as their next coach. I don't know their reasoning in thinking that..if he's on the hot seat in Tampa or what..but his name was tossed around as a top of the list guy.

Don't you guys get it? They're trying to figure out who should return kicks, and the best way to do that is to give the other teams a lot of touchdowns. Isn't it obvious? It's brilliant.....

And that's my head after somebody slapped it.

There's no argument. Take a knee and end this preseason without getting anyone hurt.

Only positives I saw all night was Travis Johnson, Ragone, and Sloan Thomas...other than that nothing to get excited about...
Gaffney gets no respect...even from our fan base. He will never catch what isn't thrown to him.
:challenge

I respect him Vinny, just didn't watch much of the first half after Carr's 1st pass was picked off...

Just like last year....Gaffney got clutch first downs and caught everything thrown his way. He had a great night. He gets no respect for some reason....I think because everyone keeps apologizing for Carr non-stop….they gotta blame something.

I knew he had a good night just from checking his stats...just didn't want to post it as a positive that I saw that I actually didn't see...

Told you Swinton was an alright role player :)

WHAT HAPPENED???
Our offense looked good the first two pre-season games, driving the ball down the field the first series.
Now it's interception or 3 and out.
Coach Capers had that "deer in the headlight look". He seemed to not have a clue of the situation. I understand that TB has a good "D", but we should at least showed up for the game.

I wonder if something is going on in the locker room that we don't know about, being they have done an about face.

Let me see how many times did carr get sacked or did he have to run for his life. I think the O-line looked great compared to past lines

Gaff looked great ! That over-the-shoulder one hander was spectacular !
Guess that's one positive thing from the game last night, knowing Gaff will be ready to go for the season opener in Buffalo.
