Gameday Thread - Texans VS Colts

I would have rather been blownout by the Colts then sit here and watch us just throw it away. I mean atleast with a blowout you know you suck bad, but leading the whole game to lose in the last 4 minutes just sucks

Posting them here prematurely, against a team and a quarterback that's owned the Texans, was very unwise.

Ask the Chicago Cubs fans.

Do you honestly believe that anything said on message boards has anything at all to do with the outcome on the field?

I'm sure the Texans players are watching us post during the game. LOL

I'd just like to say.

Offense and Defense, clap for those guys. BOTH sides played well, it's just one guy decided that he wanted to be the hero(even though he already was the hero)

Defense did great today and so did the offense in total. Great effort, but once again we just had to find a new and exciting way to lose.

That was an EPIC loss....even for the Texans

Sorry, words cannot even express what I am thinking.......

:voodoo::headhurts::goodnight::panic::brickwall::banme

I can express what I am thinking. I loved this team and enjoy following the organization - even at our worse. I have endured all of this losing seasons, watching more games than I can imagine in which we weren't even competitive. I have seen this team take one step forward and then three back.

There just comes a time when it is not fun any more. Its not fun at all. We don't have to make the playoffs, we don't even have to be a winner, but there has to be a reason to follow. I just don't care any more.

u been on this board to long my friend...this is a message board man...come on now.....

A MESSAGE BOARD THAT FANS TYPE ON AT THEIR COZY HOMES AND GIVE OPINIONS......NOTHING MORE

to believe and i mean truly believe that my man posting a comment from another message board is the real reason we lost this game is one of the absolute asinine things i have ever heard

i guess if we type and and post comments here enough we can will our texans to a superbowl if we can post enought comments from other boards.....

come on man get a life

it has nothing to do with that mindless meltdown

Absolutely, and I'm not a religious man.

You get business taken care of first, then taunt the opponent. To do otherwise is to invite the kind of heartsickness we're all experiencing today.

You know I would never follow another team because fair weather fans suck it fat. After listening to the SA radio station and 610 going at it and the guy in SA asking the interns why the Cowboys are the most watched team in Houston you can easily see why.

Wow, I find this sort of funny. I mean, sure I am pissed off that the Texans lost, but they have basically lost their last two games the same way the Raiders lost their last two games. They were winning, made some crucial mistakes, and ended up losing big time.

I was not able to see the full game, only the last minute or so was shown, and I tuned in to see Sage throw that pick. Man, that hurt big time, I feel bad for the fans that were there at the home opening.

Im glad that the Raiders don't play this week, or else I would of felt twice as bad seeing my teams being so close to winning the game, but ****ing up big time in the 4th quarter.

Interesting. I'm not sure if you are aware of the fact that we are POSTING ON AN INTERNET BBS AND NOT OUT ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD.

Please, get a grip on reality here, will ya? We are all heartsick after this stupid and insane loss, but the Texans are to blame, not people sitting at their keyboards during the game.

My wife (Skins Fanatic) asked why Sage wasn't the starter. I told her that as good as he is; he sucks HARDER!!!. He takes to many chances to try and be a hero, how unfortunate he had to prove me right. She didn't believe that statement until the dipstick tried to hand the ball to the Colts at the goal line and then just gave the game away. Now it is time to watch the skins; at least I can calm down.

Maybe Sage will get traded and Houston will get free italian ice for training camp next year (it's not like they would offer anything else for Sage!!!)

oh well

I will be cookin some chicken thighs tonight........sauted in oil with some snap peas and carrots with a light terriyaki glaze.........over a bed of jasmine long grain rice:stirpot:

Earlier I wrote:
Play action rollout. Just do it. If nothing is open, run it and stay in bounds.
Turned out to be the call, and it was a good call. But note that I didn't call for the QB to become a helicopter while barely holding on to the football -- just for him to stay in bounds...

I mean the best part of that lose was when the announcers said "hey look at Saturday the look on his face says he knows they are going to win."

2 punts and the game is over. No fumb return for a td, no fumble recovered. That was un acceptable by a 8th yr vet at qb.

Don't be too hard on Sage, this loss is on Kubiak, plain and simple.

I know it might be difficult for them to believe, but they've got to have plans for what to do when they are leading late in the game. If they haven't run through the equations for X points ahead and Y time left, then the entire coaching staff should be fired.

I don't care what kind of tendencies that Sage has. He needs to be made very clear in that situation that holding onto the ball is key. Don't force anything. If a play is busted, then just fall down. Better to go three and out for 2 possessions in the last 4 minutes and rely on the Colts to come up with 17 points in 60 seconds worth of possessions starting from their 20.

This loss came down to Kubiak actually having a lead and not knowing what the hell to do about it.

Just said on 610 that Andre was tripped at the LOS on the last play. Reason why there was NO Texans near the ball.

BuuuuhWAHAHAHAAHAAHAHAHA - That's awesome!

It's funny (and sad) that when we were up by 10, I still wasn't celebrating, thinking it wasn't enough. Then we went up 17 and I started to get into the possiblity a little more.

.. then came the 1st fumble.... and some reason - I could just see it coming.

Interestingly, I'm not pissed - I'm at the level now of just laughing at the incompetence... again.

Maybe Sage can sign up for a Twix commercial (with a little pause button), perhaps Southwest (wanna get away).

So does this mean the Qb controversy is over ? 610 will be funny tomorrow morning. For three quarters Ware was banging the drum and had MS on the pine.

Look the guy saw the brass ring...saw a bunch of extra zeros on the back of his game checks and went for it. Everyone else in here would do exactly the same thing in the same circumstances. Echiemando had one one touch fumble and was cut. What happens to you when you blow a seventeen point lead and have three turnovers ? Nothing.

Another thought just popped into my head...Bob McNair has to take a lot of grief from the national media. Andre Ware, he's an employee of the Houston Texans.
Robert McNair is the one who signs Andre's checks. Me, I got a blow hard in the booth shooting off his mouth, creating havoc with my 850 million dollar property...I find a way to fix that quick.

It's the lack of fiinite focus.

Burn the clock, don't be a hero.

Put the Texans in a position to either have Kris Brown earn his money (he DOES) or punt.

PERIOD.

/I STILL prefer Sage over Schaub.

//Fire Kubiak...

They already had the lead all they had to do run the clock out GARY

Gary,

The bootleg was a good call. Their defense was stacked for an inside run. The play did what it was designed to do and that is give the Texans a chance at a rushing first down. If you don't make it a) the clock keeps running, b) you can punt it and pin them deep, or c) if you're feeling ballsy, let Kris Brown attempt a 49 yarder.... It all went awry when Sage tried to make a play that he's not capable of making, nor should he have attempted. He should have slid around the 31/32 yard line, so that you can decide between b) and c) above....

B or C is good. But I am just asking why don't you think they should have ran the ball?
