Gameday Thread - Texans VS Colts

Feel free to post your concerns, comments, or whatever else on this thread regarding the Texans versus Colts game...

I am really pumped up about our first home game against a division rival, the Colts. The Colts are solid on offense but are lacking on defense. There starting DTs are undersized and there All-Pro safety Bob Sanders is out. The Texans need to take advantage of this but using Steve Slaton in the passing game as well as letting him run outside of the tackles.

I would also like to see Chris Taylor pound the ball up the middle on 3rd down situtations against the Colts weak DTs. Hopefully, Duane Brown and Eric Winston can keep Dwight Freeny and Raheem Brock out of Matt Schaub's way so he can pass to Kevin Walter, Owen Daniels, and or Andre Johnson.

If we win this, then we can easily beat the Dolphins, Lions, and Bengals and go from being an 0-3 team to a 4-3 team. If we do beat the Colts, then I think we have a good chance at ending the season at 8-8 or 9-7 if we're lucky!

GO TEXANS!

Must not allow 30+ points.

Must not use punt team to give up 40 yd. TDs on 4th down.

Must throw red flag. Lots of red flags.

Must hurt Peyton.

Must hurt Peyton.

Must hurt Peyton.

Must get to Peyton with at least one player not named Mario Williams.

Must pray.

PS-We should think of Peyton a lot. :voodoo:

I believe we can do this Texan fans!! Lets be the 12th man on Sunday, and if we lose, we'll all know we did OUR part! Be LOUD, be strong, and think positive!! The Colts will be a tough team to beat, but, we just can't give up hope!! I won't anyway!!

27-21 TEXANS

Just be sure to keep your seat in the Bullpen, G'ma. Don't want to upset anyone by standing up.

Damit when is this kid going to get on the field.

Looks like Demps is doubtful with a hammy, which means Harrison and Ferguson are likely to start Sunday. Yikes!

A photographical rickroll, I like it.

Hopefully this time around, Mario Williams doesn't get a sack basically taken away due to Travis Johnson piling on.

So IndyStu, what do the Colts messageboards look like right now? Doom and Gloom? Sky is falling? Everything gonna be alright?

Their fans are more pessimistic as ours.... thats what happen when your team suck for the first time in a decade.

Now that I read more into the thread, they were just being sarcastic.... we're still the laughing stock of the league.

I think the Colts need this game more than we do. 1-3 for them would be depressing. Here the mood would get better. Kinda funny that way. 1-3 isn't very good, but with all that happened so far to start the season...I'll take it :)

If the Texans play like they did last week and the Colts play the way they have all season, with the Home Field Advantage, we will win.

Of course there a lot of variables.

I am really looking forward to see how we run the ball against them. We should have our best rushing day and if we can keep Peyton off the field by controlling the clock with the run, we will definitely win.

A big key for the above is not turning the ball over.

This will be the Texans first home game of the season after starting 0-3 on the road. The home crowd will be fired up as football returns to the hurricane ravaged city. So, therefore, the Colts should roll to an easy victory.

i loled even if it was at our expense... their starting DT's are more than undersized- something like 250-270 lb's. we should be able to run all over them which will really aid the defence. im saying the texans by 10

I'm ready for the game. Man I'm hoping the Texans show up today, I really want to see them win for a change. :fans:

I'm getting ready to be in my seat by kickoff. Hopefully most of our fans will find a way into the stadium by and in their seats by the anthem.

Agreed, the lack of A$$es in the seats at kick off is a shame! One of the best parts of game day is hearing the national Anthem in a crowded stadium before a sporting event, it gives me chills every time.

It take me 30 minutes to get from my parking spot to my seats in Loge II, of course my seats are at the opposite end of the stadium from the blue lot which is just my luck. When I take guests who have never been before they are always surprised when we start packing up an hour before kick of and head to the seat 30-45 minutes before kick off but thats what it takes to be AIS in time.

I am pumped about today getting our first of the year against a team that has owned us since of inception should give this town a real boost!

Go Texans!

Like i have said before....You guys better be there on time and really loud. I am talking so loud they can hear you in Galveston..shoot San Antonio. If you guys cant get get up for this game no matter what the record is...well......I know yall have had a lot of misfortunes, but this is the time to vent so let er rip...... I expect a good performance by the crowd., more than the Texans.

hopefully the Texans have figured out HOW TO CALL A TIMEOUT, CHALLENGE A PLAY WHEN NEEDED, OUT PREPARE THE OPPOSITION, WANT THE GAME MORE & PLAY LIKE IT :wild:
