Gameday Thread: Texans at Colts 11-08

This is about to be turned off very soon. I can handle losing. I can handle playing like crap. What I can't handle is a game in which refs are trying to simply give the game away.
Most of the calls look legit, but that one on Cush for holding looked like BS, even in slo-mo.

I said one of the keys to this game was going to be masking the blitzes. The problem so far is that there don't seem to BE any blitzes. Peyton has 6-7 seconds on every play to let their great receivers get open. And with the zone coverage they're playing, it's leaving LB's matched up on WR's. Not good so far. It's amazing they only have 13.

There's no way you can pin this on the defense. If you haven't checked, guess how many first downs our "elite" offense has. No **** manning is going to score some points when he's always on the field.

A winning team drives the field and stops the momentum, now. They don't wait to make halftime adjustments.

Hope everybody is thrilled with our elite defense and frank bush.

To be somewhat fair, you also have to recognize that we are playing the UNDEFEATED Team Peyton. Defenses have trouble with him for years and probably will until he retires.

That said, the defense has not played well, yet we are only down two scores. It could very easily be 21-0 right now.

If we could scrounge up some points here we will be ok. Its all about keeping the game close during our bad half

I say, when you consider the offense has gone 3 and out twice, and threw
a pick on 1st down, the defense has played REMARKABLY well. That's 3
free posessions the offense gave to Manning, and they're ONLY down
13.

Why don't we ever work out of the shotgun and try to spead things up a little so Schaub can get into a rhythm? I mean it takes so long for Schuab to complete his 3 step drop, by the time he's ready to throw, Freeney is already breathing down his neck.

I'd go shotgun and see if I can get my QB in rhythm.

If Schaub can't get it screwed on tight this series, we may not be done yet, but we'll be pretty close.

The last time they announcers threw Brown under the bus, there WAS a pocket to step up into.

We need positive yds. every Offensive play.

THAT time Brown got toasted and caused the sack...nowhere to go, outlet was to MS' left (which was blocked).

Apparently we are playing the greatest defense ever. Just like week one against the Jets, who were also the greatest defense ever.

I've got other things to do. Like tailgating at the Giants game. hopefully the mood turns back to happy-go-lucky by tomorrow.

I think we're learning that the Texans have a mental block against the Colts. That and our O coordinator doesn't know how to double team Freeney.

I think we are learning the Texans are not near as good as what we thought.

No I think we're starting to learn that the Colts are in our heads and our pee pee shrinks up every time we play them. We are their bitches, we're mentally beat before we even take the field. Indy had this game won before it even started. We come out and have mental screw ups over and over and over.
