We can't compete with the top level teams, (and their refs), without the little Tank. He can cut - quickety-quick anywhere on the field. I had forgotten what a tremendous difference he made on this team. That's why CJ said "yessir .... I'll sign .... if you sign that little waterbug from U of H .... they did and he did. I'd forgotten just how much of a difference he made - little - "but heart of a lion. "
 
I hope Hannah forces Caserio to go after a couple of big names this offseason (also best OC candidate available) and that he drafts well because this shite is frustrating. We ain’t nowhere close to being contenders.
 
I don’t know how to read this loss really, oh so near yet oh so far. But had we beaten them I’d have still feared a playoff rematch.

Lost some key players, though.
 
Yup this games over. My take aways
Stroud 1st drive resulting in a pick was bad
refs calling stupid penalities because the chiefs were down is unacceptable
Demeco having a week to study kc offense on how they pick apart zones with Kelce and Hopkins and still not adjusting to stop them is comical
Slowik calling 4 screens that resulted in negative yards shows his experience
Biggest take away is the refs will do everything in there power to make kc win which is why I don’t feel bad about this game. I feel bad for Tank. Hate that happen to him

As far as WR, OBJ or Dionte Johnson are the only two that come to mind that would be better then a practice squad pickup. Both have major red flags…but desperate times call for desperate measures.

Yes OBJ has lost several steps and he hasn't had the best attitude for a long time. Still maybe he can recapture just enough vintage moments to help us win going forward. Not likely but possible!
 
That’s game gentleman. There were some signs that encouraged me until the Dell injury.

For me…nothing else matters today. Dell was finally looking like the 2023 Dell and he suffers a major friendly fire incident. I don’t think that was by design. Jared was very likely in the wrong spot, saw the ball and went for it. It sucks hard for Dell, sucks for us fans, and sucks for CJ who I know must feel bad.

Praying for a full recovery for Tank..but thinking longer term, this team can’t rely on Tank. That is if he can even come back from this injury and even somehow be the same guy. Open questions.

WR just vaulted way way up my off-season needs. I’ve seen some smoke surrounding Garrett Wilson being available in the off-season. If that’s not possible…first round WR please.

Emeka Egbuka would be nice, but I think he is gone before Texans pick.
Unless you are prepared to move up for a guy like EE, then FA may be the best option.
Someone like Garrett Wilson would be an attractive proposition.

We desperately need another CB, S, a speedy WR, a good TE, a DT, and a good young RB! We can get these via the draft and finish out the roster with a couple of big splash signings.
 
Well, now we’re back to only Nico being able to get open. A playoff killer. I don’t know if even want to watch the Ravens game. This season is over. Sickened about Tank. Just absolutely sick.

It’s a real possibility that we get those pieces now that Hannah is involved. She doesn’t phook around. These ain’t the Bob McNair ran Texans where the HC and GMs had a Nike long leash.
 
That commentator put it best. Tank was the one who was giving them problems. When he was gone, they weren’t able to create the same kind of plays. So, regardless of how popular it is to slam Slovak every damn week, it takes playmakers on the field to make a difference. Now, we’re right back where we’re last year. Double cover Nico, and it’s over. And you can spend all offseason saying how much CJ suddenly sucks. :dontknowa

Tank is important, but he was in the game for all but one of the -5 yard screen specials.

Problem is this isn't a good draft for the WR position..

For now bring in Dionte Johnson, for later add Bo Melton in FA and draft a developmental WR in the 3rd/4th rd. I'm still on the drafting a TE/OL in rds 1/2.

Johnson quit on the Ravens...Unless there is more to the story, I don't want him..Probably will sign with Chiefs Monday anyway

Only thing wrong with Dionte is he was WR1 in Carolina and was traded to Baltimore and was a WR3-4. This happened when he is due to become a FA at the end of this season. I would be pretty upset too if I was in Dionte's shoes.

Something wrong with the dude if he's traded by the WR needy Steelers right after signing a new contract for a CB coming off an achilles and a 6th round pick swap. And then to be traded by that WR needy Panthers team just a few short months later along with a 6th round pick for a 5th next year. And then he refused to go in a game when asked! Want no part of that cancer in this city!
