And those wins seem to be thanks to Stroud. Because this defense has let garbage rookie QBs torch them all year. The narrative will be that his defense is soft, and he coaches very timidly.

Stroud makes this offense go round. Losing Tank is brutal. But Stroud and Nico make a huge difference on offense.

I am perplexed why Keenum is starting. Injuries are brutal, all the wrong players. Ward now in concussion. As mentioned just not meant to be for this team. Been a good step up this year, so hopeful.

He's going to make mistakes but keep in mind a new coach doesn't really have "his guys" until year 2 or 3m

Meco needs to come out that zone or create pressure. Playing a cover 3 with no pressure is the same defense Lovie played last year. Only difference is they're better vs the run. If Hopkins is the target, got to double him and roll vs the other guys. If they keep playing soft, its going to be 7 v 7

Those nearly/almost moments are about as useful as tits on a boar.

I think he’s generated a lot of excitement but he is a rookie HC and he’s done some stupid stuff. Anyone who denies that is just ignoring reality. Rookie HC’s do some dumb things with few exceptions and hopefully they learn from it. Also anyone who thinks we “have” a great defense is living in a dream world. We have a defense that can make some plays. They still need pieces. They can do great things in some situations but they can screw the pooch just as easily. The new HC “power up” is expended. They are who they are and the whole league has plenty of film on them. No worries, they’ll reload next year and get better… hopefully.
