Keep in mind that in probably 5 of those attempts, he had someone in his face in the backfield. As long as that happens you're not going anywhere, i dont care who you are.

I don't want to see anyone get hurt but that looked to me like a good clean hit. Leftwich could have gotten up and thrown the ball. Robaire Smiths tackle insured us that wouldn't happen. As far as it happening to Carr I wouldn't have a problem with that hit. When a ball is fumbled it is dog eat dog. There is no special treatment for qbs.

He had someone in his face and didn't have time to see him, their blitzes are killing us on running plays and passing plays.

Great QB's hit wide open WR's when under heavy rush.

It was just on this play. It's not like I was complaining about Carr needing to be replaced. He just misses open WR's alot still. When I see it I comment on it.
 
The only plays that didn't go to DD were the Carr run and the Armstrong reception. That's disturbing..................

I agree. Men coming off the sides unblocked like that force any QB to make a quick pass like he did. There was nothing else any QB could have did in that situation. Unless his name was Vick then, he could just pull the ball down and go.

Please. I've been watching football over 30 years. You can't tell me that NO QB has the ability to make plays when under duress in that type situation.
 
Um... yes i can. The guy had 1-2 seconds the throw the ball give me a break. I dont care how longe you've been watching foot ball. Unless he breaks that tackle or something there was nothing he could do.

Dodged another bullet right there and nice pass by Carr.

You dont think Moss is doubled. What about Owens??? Every top notch WR is doubled. They seem to get the ball. Owens has 14 TDs and he is doubled every play...

AJ just gets a 16 yards reception...

We are talking about different plays then....There was no tackle to break on the play I was talking about.

Owens is not doubled every play, most of his TD's came against zone coverage. You can take a look at some tape if you don't beleive me.
 
Like I said, I understand the criticism of Carr. But when you run a misdirection play-action (as was the intentional grounding play) and you spin around only to find a defender in your face, it's a good play just to get rid of the ball.

Again, criticism is understood. On that particular play, it's a reach.

and How many years does Moss and Owens in experience do they have... Not fair comparing the three. Johnson is not a Owens or Moss yet.

Oh yeah, im not saying he's never doubled, but i honestly think AJ gets doubled a lot more than TO. From what i have seen, i might add. I never miss Texans games

Go look at the tape. Im not here to argue with you people its Sunday and im watchin my Texans destroy the Jaguars as of 1 and 1/2 quarters. Hpefully they can keep it up.
