Not to make excuses for that last play, but has anyone here ever returned a punt? Not easy, very instintive. When the ball hangs that long in the air, a fair catch is normally called for. He's looking at the ball and not the blocking.

That would be a shame because he's played as good a game as I think anyone can ask of him. If all you have is the pass then eventually someone is going to pick you. It's just going to happen.

I'm really very angry over the lack of any kind of running game. There's nothing there at all. I keep wondering if Joe Pendry just bought a "Mike Sherman" mask and accepted the job for him. Maybe he was intercepting Mike's mail or something. Then I think about it and it occurs to me that as much of a bum as Pendry was he still had them run blocking better than this.
