Game 13 Thread: Titans @ Texans

ummm..yea..im a little sick. jeez i know vince won the game but how depressingly awful is to see him win the game in o.t..throw his helmet off and say "THIS IS MY HOUSE". Disgusted is just how i feel now thinking about how much of talk their is gonna be about vy is god...this trully sucks.:gun:
 
There is one completely undeniable thing that can be said after watching the Texans behavior on this day and particularly in that final minute. Either Gary Kubiak has no idea what he's doing or he doesn't have even the slightest bit of faith in his QB. One of the two is without a doubt true.

Possibly both of them are true but it's far more likely that it's one or the other.
 
The Vick comparisons on VY are ridiculous... he's Jordan in cleats.

DC played very well, I hope everybody can put aside their vitriole and appreciate VY's greatness. No hate, just be proud for Houston's finest.
 
Carr didn't do anything terrible today, but he also did absolutely nothing to put carry this team to a win, either. Jeff Garcia can do the same for a whole lot less money.
Dayne was a much bigger reason this game was close.

Look at Carr's TDs in the 7 games. 1 TD 3 INTs 6 Fumbles. He is not even doing that well. Absolutely rediculous if we keep Carr at this point. With good QB play we could have won this game.

Look at Carr's meaningful statistics in the 7 games. 1 TD 3 INTs 6 Fumbles. He is not even doing that (not messing up) well. I'm sure his first downs are **** too. Absolutely rediculous if we keep Carr at this point. With good QB play we could have won this game.

His stats were good percentage wise but he still makes mistakes..crossing the line of scrimmage twice and they don't trust him..thus the run on 3rd down before the last FG. He dumps it off and still makes some of the same mistakes. Fact of the matter is, he just doesn't win. Today showed that some guys know how to win.

that was the worst possible ending I could have ever even dreamed up. worst thing that could possibly happen to the Texans.

That said, I am proud of my Texans. They battled really hard and showed me some heart today.

The coin toss didnt flip in their favor and lost. But when is the last time you have seen such a great game that the Texans participate in?

They look like an NFL team this year. Our defense is getting amazing. Our running game is coming around.

I knew this year wouldnt be a ride in the park. However we are headed in the right direction.

Imagine how much it sucked for me watching this game in a bar in Austin full of gay Vince Dung fans. Its a shame to hear so much cheering in Texas against a team named the Texans.
 
I can't believe it... i can't believe it... this is utter insanity (and nobody correct me on that stupid 'vinsanity' pun!).

I have officially become a Carr hater! Carr would have NEVER pulled that off! Not in 100 years! I'm sick and tired of Carr being an average to below average QB! I want a god damn winner!

At this point, i'd rather have Quinton Porter, or Van Pelt in there! Enough of Carr! I don't give a **** if all of you Carr supporters out there call me a fake fan. I'm anything but! I've stuck with this team through thick and thin for five god damn painful years, and i'm not gonna sit idly by, and watch some ***** with a score of 6 on the FREAKIN' WONDERLIC beat us with ease!

HUH??..carr is satan..vince has god on his side..ok i think the vy man love has reached its limit. he played a good game with a great play at the end to take advantage of us..thats it..i will now go vomit and listen to music as loud as my stereo can go so i can become deaf and never here the vy is god statement again...thank you
 
BIGGEST slap in the franchise's face i've ever seen, period.
I'm bummed out my Texans lost but i gotta give props to Vince. The dude is a gamer and a team leader who will be a force to be reckoned with in the NFL for years to come.
 
VY is a leader. That is the difference between him and Carr. VY DID win this game for his team. Look at the stats. Vince did more than Carr did. He did have a INT, but he was able to throw down field or run. :brickwall

Carr is just not a play maker! DC didn't have any INT's today but VY is just a play maker in the 4th Q! You can't compare the 2! Like I said in another thread when VY comes to town he will make Reliant his Rose Bowl and he proved it in his 1st time Here!!!! About to order my FAT HEAD VY Poster :highfive:
 
With all the bad rep that ive received about my man love for Vince... I think yall FINALLY realize what Ive known for a long time. Vince is the sheet.

Boy I wish we had him in Houston. Check out the Mario/Young picture they have on the chronicle. Im not amazed because Ive seen him do this repeatedly. But at the same time I feel sorry for the Texans fans who could have enjoyed watching him in a Texans uniform.
 
Wow.. what a game. Admittedly, I never post, although I do have to admit that this game and this thread really stirred something in me. Watching the game, one thing kept popping in my head: "Carr has been asked to 'manage' the offense!"

You can't be consistently successful in the NFL "managing" games.

I've said it before and I'll say it again the Texans ARE STUPID for passing on Vince....it WAS a no brainer........VY just s#!ted on the entire texans organization...VY IS a winner!!!!

People are still going to put this lost on DC how stupid. I am not a Carr homer but come on he got the tem in fieldgoal range AJ should have took the ball up field in stead of trying to juke lower your head and run someone over. I can understand if DC missed the tackle on VY's run I could putting it on him if he held the wideout on that same drive I would even put it on him if he screwed up on speacial teams there in the fourth quarter but he was not on the field. With one minute left in the game and on our own 7 yard line people want them to go for it yes lets pass so if the wideouts drop the ball then the clock could stop give them great field position because well lets face it he could not punt the ball far enough to keep them out of fieldgoal range. Bottom line the defense played great but when it came down to it they blew it. I know it would not matter what DC would have done he could have gone 450 yards 4 TD rushed for 112 yards 2 TD made 14 tackles a FF,FR, 4 sacks 2 int 1 returned for a TD and a 43 yard punt and kick return average.

Got cha! and yes - he does suck. Think about it. he came from a different type of program than VY. He does not have a shred of confidence left in his body. It's time to cut our losses. As I have said before, 5 years is half a career. He's halfway done. But as a leader of this team - he's all the way done.
 
I just want to take the time to cuss out Bob Lanier for having Bud Adams pack up the Oilers and move them to Tennessee. Thanx you dumb *****. Next, I'd like to cuss out Charlie Casserly and Capers for not getting a decent veteran QB on the team for Carr to shadow in the beginning; then not doing a good job building a great offensive line. You lil' bastards. Bob McNair, I'm grateful to you bringing football back Houston, so I'm not gonna cuss you out. However..... DID YOU WATCH THE ROSE BOWL BACK IN JANUARY OF THIS YEAR???? You brought one hometown guy to coach. Why not bring the other hometown guy in to play??? You saw him pretty much defeat the USC Trojans by himself - more yards passing and rushing than the USC offense combined, BY HIMSELF!!!!!!

It is not David's fault . We had a chance to pick the best player in the draft and we declined. I gotta tell ya.. I knew if we passed on Reggie we would have to talk VY. It was hard to root against him today but what was hardest was watching him show the front office what a terrible mistake they made.
 
All I want for Christmas is for the breaks to fall our way for a change no more chicken #%$& flags. It kills me and I do not complain about the zebras calls but for at lease half the season I have paid attention to their calls and man it is like if we even look like we could have touch a wide out they are going to throw a flag I am not one of those guys that say the NFL is against us but they should take a little closer look at how these games are being officiated.

No one is putting the game all on Carr but here are the facts this far into his fifth season. With 3rd and 8 or whatever and a chance to go farther..not just take a FG to tie, the coach handed off. That right there shows their trust in Carr. He had two critical penalties(one that negated theirs) by going over the line of scrimmage. He still makes mistakes like not throwing it out of bounds. In general we don't have a QB that is a winner and who you say, "go win it for us." I'm not sure how else to put it.

I couldn't agree with you more. When you have a QB that's asked not to lose a game rather than one that you ask to "Go and win it!"... well, you don't have a situation that encourages a winning attitude. I'm afraid we (Texan Fans) are in for many years of that kind of team attitude.

By the way, can someone tell me why is CBS speaking to Casserly about anything?
 
Sorry if this isn't the appropriate place, but I didn't see the use of starting a new thread just to say "good game."

You all played us tough; it very well could have gone the other way if you all had another possession.

LYB , it was a good game . I think our game plan was to not make mistakes and establish the run .... we did not turn the ball over they did twice . I don't believe they paid for their turnovers ( we punted ) .

It came down to who made the big plays at the end .
