I'm sorry I used the same excuses for 5 years.

Carr's dump downs keep everybody at the line. He doesn't show the defense anything....period
 
At least if you pass down the field you have a chance for a big play.
David looks like a scared deer out there. No poise whatsoever. The game is if anything getting faster for him.

Carr needs to put a phone book under his ass so he can look over the steering wheel and see what's downfield. Maybe Vince can put him on his shoulders.
 
Our defense is going to be a absolute force next year. They've been on the field all day. As soon as we get a half ass offense we will win alot of games

That is what gets me. The worst was two plays before. He is outside the tackle, no one is open and instead of throwing it out of bounds he takes a sliding knee and loses 3 yards. After 5 years?Rocks for brains.
 
It's easy to say throw it downfield, but apart from the short passing plays that are called as such, Carr barely has time to get the ball off on a 3 step drop. And on the rare occasion that he does have more time, he is checking down too quickly, I presume for fear of an unseen pass rusher blind siding him. That is a lack of confidence due to poor pass protection. It is David's flaw but he did not create it.
 
Kubiak has lost confidence in Carr. I think he understands what he has now and is just trying to win by eliminating Carr screwing things up. I don't think it is possible to cover up Carr shortcomings when the Texans are so weak all over. At least their draft didn't totally ******* like it has every other year. Trying to look on bright side

Then put his ass in the shotgun formation, where he doesn't have to drop back. I've never seen them do that...........spread the defense out.

I agree. Very good draft picks. Except for the number 1 pick. Mario is probably going to be good, but you don't pass on play makers like Bush and VY.
