Game 13 Thread: Titans @ Texans

well we got about 50 anti car posts, about 15 pro vince posts, but we are still winning, go figure.

If the Texans end up winning the game, David Carr will get NO credit, but if the Titans win....no matter how it happens....Vince Young will be the greatest QB in the history of the NFL

I think David Carr just likes to have good stats...does not seem to care about converting 3rd downs or getting 1st downs. He is 9/10 69 yards passing...I bet he is happy about himself yet most of our first downs have little to do with him.

I agree. He is not a leader out there. The texans do not have that. I think that is what upsets me most. VY goes out there and you can tell, he is the man. He is the leader. Houston lacks that.

9/10 for 69 passing for DC. Pretty decent numbers. Should be interesting in the 2nd half to see if the Titans try and stop the run and dare DC to beat them.

Sorry to break it to you, but Vince plays for the Titans.

Good thing for him, too, because his team has won 5 games for him.

I hope Mario sacks VY and puts him out of the game!! Don't kill him or cripple him, but it would make my year!!:mario3:

We should have about 60 pro texan defense threads......this game is nothing to do with Carr or Young, but with the Texans D.........I'm going to go out on a limb next year and say they will be the best in the AFC south.

We need to add to it with next years draft, that way regardless if Carr is the answer or not, the new QB he bring in will be entering a VERY....VERY...VERY QB friendly enviroment.

On the one drive where the running game becamse effective the passing game was also effective. We were running before Dayne came in, but we were not effective. Why we came out and passed against literally the worst run defense in the league is beyond me. I guess Kubiak felt they would not be expecting the passing game.

The defence does look good. I like that the D line isn't too agressive going after VY because I think it would give him a chance to run for big yards.

wow the one team we beat decisively twice this year is stunning peyton manning and the colts 24-10 wtg jaguars!

We need to keep running the ball. Control the clock and keep VY on the sideline.

Halftime.

Dayne is actually looking pretty decent out there. The run blocking really seems to be coming together.

Receiver play has been subpar, with a couple of whiffs by AJ. I think Moulds got a dump off but not many other looks.

QB play has been decent, there's been a little pressure so we've seen some short throws. However, it's not been too bad and with the run game starting, we're seeing more downfield stuff.

DLine needs to get more pressure, but doing OK run-wise.

Greenwood is really on today. Ryans is Ryans.

Dunta stepping up. Faggins is hanging in there, despite a couple borderline PI calls.

CC Brown still looks lost. Maybe we should just put him on drilling Vince.

I've been watching it...Stokley dropped a touchdown pass in the beginning of the game, drive ended with no points.

Manning has been off...some ez throws he missed, and also threw a deep interception.

Jaguars using 2 running backs and just running all over Colts. First 2 plays by Jaguars...run up middle with Fred Taylor, went for 60 yards or something...then 18 yard TD run by Jones-Drew.

Congrats Sarge....#1000 for you.

yes a decent young corner and a cover FS, maybe get lucky with a LB in the 3rd round. at this point i dont really care who starts at QB we will get better.

The young defense has really become a bright spot on this team. It is steadily getting better and that will begin to reduce the pressure on the offense. I think we will get better and better with time. When the receivers loosen up they will look better. AJ is as tight as Carr at times. 1st Play of the game AJ has a penalty. Kubiak has put a lot of pressure on all of them to perform, but I think it has a more negative affect on the offense than it does the defense. I think sometimes our guys are simply trying too hard. Relax guys and have fun........

Heh, did the announcers just say Carr was the reason we're up?

I wouldn't go THAT far. Great defense and a better run performance would be more accurate.

and your point is....I'm a VY fan and I hope he plays well today, to hell with those of you who don't think I'm a "true" fan because of this.

really becuase with threads like this I have my doubts

You root for the player not the team, which is sad considering that player plays for a divisional rival.

I find it extremely funny how these people say "I hope he plays well today"......ah hello he's the QB of the Titans...........anytime a opposing QB does well his team wins.....so in essence your rooting against the texans whether you like it or not.

Yea, guys like The Dream are just sour that we did not get Vince. Can't seem to swallow that he wont be on our team.

I would not go that far. I think it is more for the peace. I hope he does well but they don't win so you won't have haters, etc out and about. In general though I'd be lying if I didn't think we would be better off without DC. Even with the scramble and completion his head is never downfield.
