I like it that our city has taken such a passionate interest regarding it's football team. Imagine what it'll be like when we finally make the playoffs! By the way, someone should run a full page Reggie Bush ad. to counter the VY supporters.
Kaiser Toro said:I think it is great that a local company is doing that. I hope that VY goes to the Raiders and we cut DC in two years and VY comes back home to Texas to do the work that the Fresno Kid could not.

Take your marketing, hometown flavor and hang it in your . . .

HoustonFrog said:For the first time in a while, if you think of it, the Texans are the talk of the nation and fans are fired up about the team and how it is run. That is positive no matter how it is looked at.

With a chainsaw.

I love the charitable work he does, but leave running our sports teams up to the people that own/run them. If you pulled every advertising dollar I promise you they'd find someone else willing to pay it. Paying for advertising at games and buying front row seats does not give you power to use your clout to cry and whine about how the team is ran.

I love how the Moronicle continues to pit citizens of this city against each other. I'm just glad I'm not in Houston for this offseason. What a mess.
Would you believe it is more like 35%. Let's not let facts get in the way though.thunderkyss said:80% of Houston Fans say they want Vince
McIngvale speaks as both a fan and a corporate sponsor. Asked if the Texans' choosing Bush will impact his future business relationship with the team, he replied: "It darn sure ain't going to help it. I'm a marketing guy. I think Vince would be over the top for them. I don't want to go through another year like last year when I basically threw my money away.
"I'm obligated for a couple more years, and I'm big on fulfilling my commitment. But ongoing I've got to take a look at it because regardless of the football implications, (drafting Young) would at least double the value of my sponsorship overnight."

Sounds like he really cares about the team...

If he wants to spend $70,000 on Chronicle ads, then that's his business. If he wants to pull his sponsorship money, then it's his business.
If you guys wanna boycott his business, then that's your business.
He'll come back as a sponsor as soon as Reggie breaks a big one. And you guys will be back to Gallery Furniture by the Labor Day sale.
Welcome to America. This kinda stuff goes with the territory.
