From MSNBC Sports:

NAPA, Calif. - Offensive lineman Robert Gallery, the Oakland Raiders’ top draft pick chosen No. 2 overall, went down with what appeared to be a right elbow injury during Monday afternoon’s training camp practice.

Gallery was participating in a half-line blocking drill when he got hurt. He was working with the second team line, but he’s expected to be the starting left tackle this season.

Trainers rushed to his side and Gallery yelled in pain, holding his right elbow. He was immediately examined.

Owner Al Davis sought an update from trainers and personnel chief Michael Lombardi after Gallery headed for the locker room.

Gallery didn’t start in the Raiders’ 33-30 exhibition win over the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday night, but he played with the first team.

Bad news for the Raiders. Rich Gannon better watch his back because probably it will be a good 8 weeks before he comes back. Don't know when he'll be coming back but it doesnt seem he will be stepping on the field very soon.

I hate when stars go down but on the other side, I dont think he will be playing in the Oct. 3 game against us, which will help our pass-rush.

However, this is all speculation right now and there is no word when Gallery will be coming back.

That sucks...besides our picks, he is the one pick I was pulling for most out of this years draft...hope it is nothing serious and he is able to be back soon...
