I know we often complain about the lack of serious Texans talk on the local airwaves. I've tried my best as an individual to help encourage thoughtful talk (and once in a while, pull out a can of whoop-a).
In any event, this is my official Texans Talk announcement that I will be doing a regular hour long segment about the Houston Texans every Friday during the season from 3:00-4:00 pm with 1560 The Games' Sean and John afternoon show. They are really good guys and are good to talk Texans with--they are looking to make this a show where we talk about more than just the superficial stuff.
And it is going to be held at a remote, at Nick's Place at Rockyridge and Westheimer (on the south side between Gessner and Fondren).
So, you can either join us in person and drink and eat yummy stuff. Or you can listen in online or on the radio (1560 am, duh) and if you have a question that you think would be an interesting topic, you can either call in at 713-439-1560 or email the show.
The first time I ever was a guest on a sports talk radio show I won as a contest thingy, the only person I told was my husband. I didn't want any of my friends to hear. It was really kind of embarrassing and scary. But ended up being a lot of fun. And over time, I've just learned to see experiences like this as something fun that if I am able to do it, why the heck not?
Anyway, it is always fun to talk football going into the weekends, and I hope you can join us either in person or over the airwaves. Represent.
