Wow, I have read this thread with morbid fascination. I have season tickets in 519, so am really not involved. But why in the world would you insult a loved and respected member of this forum is such a way. I am relatively new to the forum and have tried to read the threads and post with thought and respect. Other than just trying to cause problems, I see no point in your posts.:pirate:

You causing problems? I am not sure if that is even possible. you seem way to low key for that. Unlike me, where is I am a bit more high strung.

Okay, thanks. Is there a map of which sections are PSL's and what sections are non-psl's season tickets?

hardcore everything in the stadium are PSLs except for he 700 section and in the 600 section..the only psl seats in the 600 sections are between the 30 yd lines.

I'm negative? Joe Texan is ripping someone for making an honest buck...lol

Hobie come on, I'm just giving my take on the subject and I don't know any of these people and care not to. I have met Texan Joe as he bawled like a baby after VY ran it in on us last year. I was disappointed too, but lets be real and remember this is still just a game that we attend for fun. And guess what? When the game was over Texan Joe was not in the bullpen seats.

You obviously do not understand the post, I am outraged that Front Row Tickets was able to sell front row bull pen tickets. I am opposed to all ticket scalping and believe it should be a crime and punishable by jail. It is the reason for inflated ticket prices, Team see's fans buying $250 tickets, team decides to raise ticket prices. I was under the understanding that personal attacks were not tolerated on this board but I guess i was wrong.

As far as your second crack You do not know me and if you got your jollies saying you know me cause you see me on the jumbo tron then so be it but you do not know what or where I was during any game so I would appreciate you not using my name to satisfy your needs. I have never left the stadium untill the last Texan walks off the feild so get your facts strait before you spew Bud Adams. This is a great board with knowledgable fans and great fan to fan comraderie. I would suggest that ubecool454 try to fit in and stop all the personal attacks.

I joined the MB because I wanted to be part of a like minded group of Texan's fans. It actually pains me to read divisive threads like this one. I know, some of you are reading this and thinking - what a wuss.

I enjoy the threads that go off on tangents and I also enjoy reading good solid debates on topics. I guess I do not understand why a group of people who have (theoretically) something in common (minus the Hershey Bar's) would become so negative.

I may not always agree with certain poster's politics and opinions, but for the most part, I have fun seeing the different viewpoints. Some of my favorite posters are the more controversial ones. Who didn't miss SWT while he was out sick? What is a day without reading a bizarre (no offense intended) PowefulDragon post? Ok, now that I have reread my post - I will get a life.:user:

My new goal, to swap up my tickets for a game to visit the BullPen.

not true..psl seats in the 600 section are the seats between the 30 yd lines.

According to the sales rep that I spoke to a few weeks ago.. what he said was that everything on the lower sections are PSLs and everything on the top are not. I'll take his word over yours anyday.

Joe I can understand your feelings about scalping and all, but remember one thing.....This thing is bigger than you. Somethings are just the way they are.

nitro thats fine..I have 2 psl seats in the 600s. I think you better call back and talk to another rep. You can also go to tickets on the website and see for yourself. Sections 607 - 610 and 633 - 636 are PSL seats.

Can anyone ball park how much PSL's go for? Andrew made a good point about not buying them on ebay.

I imagine it is a pretty broad range, but for shiggles I checked ebay and they have some PSL's in 122 for $5000.

Hardcore, you probably should have tried to pick up some psls before the texans started winning. Panthers psl in the lowers sideline are going for 10k each now that they have had success. As the team gets better the PSL value will go up. Check on the Texans message boards and texanstalk for psl before ebay for sure. The PSL prices depend on the location of the seat. PSLs in 122 originally sold for 1900 each, but you can expect them to go up from now on.

bull pen cost per psl is 600

121 section is like 900

122 i think is 1200 a peice

and i think it just goes up. club level range from like 3 - 5000 a peice don't qquote me on that though.

andrew those 122 were 1900 in 2002. They will go up some a lot more as the texans win more. You can call the texans and they will tell you what they have them valued at now.

As a PSL owner you do have to buy the tickets every year or you lose your seat basicly and the texans can resell your PSLs. If you're going to buy PSL's try to stay away from ebay. I'd wait and see if anyone on here is willing to sell.

Ebay, though over priced, is the second best option IMHO. Obviously someone on here is the best option.

Hardcore - Andrew is right. If Bob decides to not buy his season tickets, EVER, he loses his PSL.

hardcore most people won't lose a psl, they would sell it first. If you are thinking about some, do it this year before they get outta site.

I believe the psl is only good for an amount of time and will have to be renewed after 10 years or so, not quite sure but thought I read this

30 years actually which is the length of the lease at Reliant. If they renew then your PSLs will remain. That's my understanding of it. I'm not a PSL owner though. I don't even have season tickets but I talked about this in depth with a sales rep a few weeks ago.

Anyone looking for PSL should try to buy now. The texans are going to the top. As they rise so will the price of those PSLs. I just wonder how long it will be before the Texans make all the seats in the stadium psl just like the Carolina panthers seats are.

VY didn't make the choice, the Texans did. I don't understand why people like you have such distate for VY when it wasn't his decision. VY is a Houston Texan, no matter you like it or not. I can understand not rooting for him, but the way you guys handle this situation is just comical. It wasn't VY's choice.

hollywood, I'm a lifetime Longhorn fan. I was born and raised one, and loved VY when he was in the burnt orange. He's the enemy (so to speak) now, and so I root against him.
My personal dislike stems from him prancing around on my home team's field, stroking his own ego, saying "this is my house!" after the titans won the game.
Sorry, that **** don't fly with me.
Fine, you won the game, VY. You made a great play, and I recognize that fact, but if you run your mouth and disrespect my home field, I have an issue with that.
I know he was just acting in the heat of the moment, but I don't care.
VY must go down, and he must go down hard.

I wasn't sure, I had psls in 121 before I moved over to the bullpen and those psls were 900 a peice. I sold them for 2000 I beleive last year to a person who told me they were a fan from another area and were moving to Houston. After I sold them I found out he was a ticket broker and nothing I could do about it. I was totally heart broken knowing I contributed to helping another team have a small advantage with having their fans in my old seats.

why would you feel bad, you made a buck. So you are actually a part of problem? Why so much concern about the brokers....the way the Texans seasons have panned out they have to had taken a beating.

I feel bad because the solution is to have all the stadium filled with Texans fans. Especially in lower region sections of the feild. I'd of rather of taken a loss on my money than to have known I sold PSLs to a ticket broker.

The fans affect on a game is not as great as some think it is. Aren't the seats you sold sideline seats? Maybe its just me but I can't see giving up sideline seats to sit in the endzone..lol. But to each his own. Taking a loss is just un-american....don't do it!

I liked the fan base in the bullpen better. the other section I was in seemed to be people who didn't care to get into the game.

Just look at the Texans past history. How could you get into it? I know people that would leave the games at halftime to go back out and tailgate. Things are changing now. Don't let the other fans affect you, just do what you do because I would be willing to bet my PSLs that less than 25% of the fan base really keep up with the team other than on sunday.

Nitro why don't you call the texans today and ask them again about the PSLs not being in the 600 section. This time talk to someone different.

I keep things in perpsective. I appreciate VY because he did some amazing things for me as a Longhorn fan. I can't explain the feeling walking out of the Rose Bowl and walking next to Michigan and USC fans with their mouths wide open like this just got run over like a Mack truck.

The only things the Texans have done is build a nice stadium and allow tailgaiting.

As for VY playing for the Texans, if it would have been VY's choice, he would been a Texan. But, the Texans choose otherwise.

Which is fine, I don't have a problem with it, but you better be able to live with the consequences and handle it like a man.

The Texans passed on him and he proved his point. I don't care who you are or where your from. You beat a team under those circumstances, you can dance around if you like. The Texans made a decision and it bit them in ass, but there is no sense in crying over it!

When I hear all this complaining about VY dancing in Reliant after he scored that TD, it reminds of a bunch of babies crying. Get over it...

I wish I would of known these tickets were for sale.

I did however just buy 2 VERY front row 30 yard line seats to the Texans/Titans game. Birthday present to myself :)

Sorry, it's not your choice to tell me what to get over... there is etiquette in sports, like not showing up a pitcher after you've hit a home run off of him, and not running out onto another teams logo in the middle of the field after you score a TD.
VY broke that etiquette, and as Texan fans, we have a right to not like it.
You can blather on all you want, calling people babies because they have a view point that's different from yours, but their point of view is as legitimate as yours, probably more so, because your point of view is obviously tainted burnt orange.
Sorry, I know VY is your secret love and all, but he ran his mouth in our house.
I'm sure there are more than a few Texans players that share this opinion.

You seem to be in a surly mood the last few days, did someone piss on your VY woobie????

BTW, I'm over us not taking VY, because the trade off would've been Schaub+Mario... no thanks, we can get another running back besides vince...

Not to piss you off but, I tend to agree with Hollywood on this. I don't think Vince was trying to show us up. Vince is a hometown hero that got caught up in the moment and celebrated with his posse of fans. I was drained to after he did it to us and I want to beat vince's butt everytime he comes to Houston.

I don't care who VY plays for. I was fortunate enough to go two of the most amazing college football games of all time. That's a lot more than anyone will ever get as a football fan. I consider myself very fortunate in that regard, especially as UT fan.

I respect VY because he backs up everything he says and proves his critics wrong.

That doesn't mean I want the Titans to be beat the Texans though.

But, if they do, I am not going to in a tizzy about. And, I really don't care who dances at Reliant. Just as I really don't care who sits in the Bull Pen. Just as I really don't what you or anyone else thinks about my stance on VY.

There are so many other things in life to focus on...

Indeed there are other things in life to focus on, but apparently, at this moment we've both chosen to focus on football...

BTW, I love your use of words like babies, and tizzy... it adds much to what would otherwise be a rational conversation...

Maybe I'm just jealous that I didn't get to attend those Rose Bowls (I am!).

It sounds like you kind of agree with both of us... I don't think VY's actual intent at that moment was to show us up, I just think he could've been more restrained. It's difficult to convey with the written word, but my posts shouldn't give you (or Hollywood) the impression that I'm seething mad over this thing. No, I just think VY needs to get a lesson in humility on the football field, and I hope that the Texans can deliver it, and hopefully real soon.

(that "lesson in humility" statement may seem sort of inaccurate, because it might be taken to insinuate that VY acts like that all the time, which is not true. For the most part, he says the right things)

Maybe I'm just jealous that I didn't get to attend those Rose Bowls (I am!).

Yeah, I was very fortunate to go those games and they were amazing.

It's such an amazing feeling to know your team is going to win down by 12 with about 5 minutes left. Everyone just knew where I was around.

I was never a big VY fan when he was at Texas.

The next morning after the USC game, I got to thinking about how I was always second guessing VY and his abilities. Then I realized, he had done more for me as a fan of one of my favorite football teams than any other player ever.

Vince is in Tennesse now, which is fine by me because I feel so fortunate to root for him while he was at Texas and delivered the goods. Some people never get that feeling from their team ever.

With that in mind, that doesn't mean I have to hold him in such disdain as a lot of other people on this board do. Further, having that position, doesn't make me any less of a Texan fan.

Not to mention, it wasn't Vince's decision!

A lot crap gets slung my way because I don't bang on VY like they do or I call them on it. Maybe if they relaxed a little bit and tried to understand a different perspective, they would understand where I am coming from.

I don't want to bang on VY. I don't want to junk the Carr.

This thread isn't about players and there are plenty of threads that I don't read (on purpose) about these very same arguments. This was never about them,

Maybe a mod can help clean this mess up.

People don't realize the Bullpen is our home. People who tailgate with us:

A - Joe_Texan, Papa Troll
B - DerekLee, Owen
C - Ted + Family, Gma, Texans84 + Lauran, Longhornbabe + Keith
D - Me and my crew, TexanLee, Texan Red

That's within maybe a 10 seat span? So yah, we get annoyed with brokered seats interrupting our tailgating family.

(sorry to the people I forgot, about to fall asleep)

I am behind yall 10000%

well Just sold my extra seats in 114 to a military guy back from Iraq. I felt good doing it even though he is a MIAMI DOLPHINS FAN. I'm glad these seats are not in the bullpen near you people. I would hate for you to treat a protector of freedom badly. I tried giving him the tickets once I found out the deal but he would have none of it. Enjoy the game.

You think you understand but you are completely clueless....again.

Everyone that has posted here parties and tailgates with opposing fans. We go to thier stadium as thier guest and they come to ours as our guest. We had Spike of Raiders fame, Birdman-ultimate Eagles fan, Tony the Mobile Dawg (stayed in his house in Cleveland) and Charlie Fry, Jets fans, Patriot fans, Raiders fans......just about every team fan there are. Some of my favorite people are Titan fans.

I am bringing (2) Saints fans to the Bull Pen (free, by the way).

The only problem we have is the corperations (ticket brokers) owning seats in the Bull Pen and selling them at an outrageous price. Many of the fans are not told of our traditions (standing, jerseys, sceaming every time the defense is on the feild) and they can't handle it. They will ask us to sit down and try to get the security to make us. Security tells them they should have known better when they paid 4 times the face of the tickets.
They become offended and are sorry they came. Some become angry (expected).

We don't want opposing fans to have these issues and we don't want ANY fan blocking the aisles of any section that they don't have tickets for.

I am very sure your peabrained head cannot wrap around this concept and you will have some remarks about untruths and "American way" jibberish as if it pertains to anything said here by anyone but you.

You were wrong before and you will be wrong again. We have plenty of pictures, posts, and memories to back everything I have stated.

Yeah, I'm buying it... way to support our freedom, ubecool...
That's waaaaaaaaaay more believable than the post that SheTexan made about the confrontation with the Titans fans on the rail in the Bullpen... NOT <<<< I had to add the NOT in case you didn't catch the sarcasm...

How convenient that you just happened to sell your tickets to a war hero at the perfect time to support your opinion of the ticket issue... do you really think the people here are that stupid? You're making an ass out of yourself.

Point taken... sorry to hijack the thread.

Good lord people...the reading on most of your blood pressure cuffs would cause most Heart surgeons to smile from ear to ear. Chill! Hollywood Texan has the right mentality, let it go like water off a duck's back...

Putting my oar in the water...like this soup needs more stirring....

Sitting down near the field has its advantages, sitting up higher has its advantages too. I am not at all amazed at all the hostile posts on the subject of the BullPen here...because most of you sit there and think it is 'the primo spot'. To you, yes....to many others....not so much. Ticket brokers are ALL over Reliant, section 524 is almost all scalper seating, but Doc makes sure that they know they are in the TEXANS house regardless. Hey, they have the right to see the game, its our responsibility to make sure we are heard and they aren't. Its a pretty simple theory really...

I used to think that the BullPen was sacred ground. Changed my mind, Reliant is all sacred ground and while we like to have the opposition come to our house and have a great time...they need to be reminded that it IS our house. The WHOLE house. :wild:

PS: Why was I not on the favorite posters list? Lack of posting, out of mind?? Don't make me get started back on ORANGE LOT RULES, FILO RULES posts again. :shades:

Breaking it down to its "base components", I think this has to do with appearances and perception. When you see games in Cleveland and Oakland, just how many fans sporting the opposing team's colors do you see in the "Dawg Pound" and "Black Hole" respectively?

Is it somehow WRONG to want at least some of the same reputation garnered for the Bull Pen? I certainly hope not, because that's EXACTLY what the Texans brass touted the section to be for in the first place!

The most fun I ever had in the "old days" of the Oilers, was sitting in a 'cheap seat' bleacher section behind the endzone w/ my father. I wanted a PSL location that would fairly replicate that experience. AFTER I signed up for endzone seating, the Texans "created" the Bull Pen and offered it up as an "option" for me. It certainly sounded like where I personally wanted to be.

While I'd love the whole house to be "rockin", I understand that there will always be the brokered seats and the "shaken, not stirred" crowd to keep that reality from ever really happening.

What I failed to anticipate (and I think the point of this WHOLE THREAD), is that this would happen to the Texans own "rowdy-by-design" section, intended for the Die-Hards, crazies, etc. I've always told people that if the game ever got boring, I suspected the "Section" wouldn't.
