Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean reports that the Titans have hired former Texans defensive coordinator Frank Bush as linebackers coach.

Bush was fired by the Texans on January 3. As noted by Wyatt, Bush was new Titans head coach Mike Munchak’s teammate with the Houston Oilers in the mid-1980s.

The move brings into doubt incumbent linebackers coach Dave McGinnis’ role on Munchak’s staff. McGinnis was previously seen as a candidate for promotion to defensive coordinator, but Munchak plucked Jerry Gray out of the college coaching ranks instead.

In Tennessee, Bush will work with a position group that may lose starting middle linebacker Stephen Tulloch to free agency. Gerald McRath and Will Witherspoon are the starting outside ‘backers.

This must have been a part of his diabolical plan.

He now only has to worry about having 3 people in the right position now.

Niiiice. Another component from the 35-3 team. The more the merrier. Karma now has the perfect opportunity to prove it's existence.

LMAO. The Titans are more desperate than I thought.

Any position coach who is considered for a coordinator job must be doing pretty well. His defenses doing poorly in Houston doesn't really reflect his skills as a position coach. Just my opinion. I think it was a solid hire.

Chris Palmer on the other hand looks like a knee-jerk hire. Not excited about that one.
