On my laptop (Mac) when I use Safari, it is embedded with some Apple scam/spam… this website is the only time it pops up, not on any others.

On Google Chrome, I have no issues.

Very slow right now, and I only see 204 guests.
 
The response is very delayed most of the time.

And I’ve been getting server stopped responding browser messages a lot.

And there’s only 250 guests online.

Sure we haven’t been infected by a Titan Inbred virus Hookem?
 
Just a thought….could another layer of security be added? Like a security code sent back to your device at login. It could include a membership only viewing which would force casual browsers to membership up.

It would probably kneecap the site hits, but could drive memberships up.

Just a thought out loud.
 
Good idea OT. I have a slightly different idea but on his same track. Members arent the issue. They can login as per normal. But for guests, they should be presented with one of those “prove you are a human” gateways where you type in the letters shown, or some other prove your not a bot action. Once the letters are typed…the human is let thru.

I don’t think it’s the bots that giving issues right now

Visitors is 283 and the site is sluggish and on safari on my iPhone every few clicks gets me a server not responding browser message
 
It comes and goes for me. Earlier...it was decently zippy. Now around lunchtime...it's slow again. Once camp starts...numbers will start to rise and be high all fall. A lot of people won't wait around. Time is money and all of that...and people live in a microwave now. If it's not near instant...they are out. Hopefully the powers that be can lend a hand.

Yeah guests can read but not post. Perhaps it has something to do with how a log in occurs? This stuff was above my level but it is going to be incredibly irritating as season ramps up.
 
Seems fast again this morning. Its sort of a roller coaster. Fast then slow than back to fast…only to go slow again.
 
Hi guys, yes, my goal is to have this fixed up before the preseason starts. I apologize as I have been traveling back to Texas dealing with family issues and also up to been up to my eyeballs in work stuff. The guy I hired is still tweaking things. It looks like most of the bots are being blocked now. How are things running now? I think he made some more tweaks yesterday.

BTW, I might come for the Bucs game in September. I wish it wasn't MNF but it is what it is. I have to be in Austin that weekend for business and will probably hit some family up in Splendora as well. If any of you guys still attend games it would be cool to catch up at a tailgate somewhere.
 
I was on at 3 am and it was pausing a few seconds between page loads but right now it responds fairly normal.

It is good to see you back on the board even if it is concerning bots! Thanks for all you're doing. We just don't want to lose this board. You are responsible for a lot of addictions LOL

Visitors only at 191 but still huge lag in response time.

I click something and it takes 5 seconds or more to get a response from the website.

Just FYI: I just logged in... clicked on a reply from another poster and messages slid up and down and then locked into a completely different post several above mine. I then clicked on same reply under alerts but that time my screen went silly; flickering and "jumping" finally stopping on a message from yesterday and not from the poster replying to me. I repeated the same move to click on reply and it never went to that post.
