The Denver Rocky Mountain News reports the Houston Texans released former Broncos S Eric Brown yesterday (noted earlier). While the phone has not rung yet, Brown's representative, Gene Burrough, said the Broncos certainly are on the safety's wish list. "I'm certain he'd want to come back," Burrough said. "You know he left his heart in Denver - that's where he got his start." Brown was the Broncos' second- round pick in the 1998 draft. Brown, who turns 30 on Sunday - has made 87 career starts but started only four games last season with the Texans.
