For Those Who Say The 3-4 Doesn't Work......

Look at the Steelers, Patriots, and Chargers. All 3 of those defenses were key to their teams playoff run. Only us and the Raiders are the only teams who ran the 3-4 and didn't make the playoffs. I know all 3-4 schemes are different, but quit bashing the 3-4. I love the 3-4. A few teams run it, it can hide what we are trying to do, and it uses LB's as the core, the true defensive playmakers. Maybe our 3-4 defense can use a scheme makeover, but this thing works, and I think we can be one of the top defense using the 3-4, just as long as we get the right personal in here.

the thing is they all run the same kind of 3-4 but we run a different kind of 3-4. theres is more of a agressive style while ours is more of a bend dont break waight for the other team to make a misstake insted of forcing them to.

But like the previous poster said....PIT,NE and SD are all aggressive style 3-4s...we run a BDB 3-4. But yeah,no more 3-4 bashing...OR ELSE!

The 3-4 is awesome.. I run that with my pop warner kids... well a form of it they're only 13years old

I think the biggest problem with the 3-4 is it is harder to find players that have experience with the 3-4 and players such as tweeners and DL are harder to come by that fit the defense. You are much more limited in these 2 areas when drafting or looking at free agents.

Vinny is once again right, I just loved it when teams tried to throw the ball on the Texans, just getting them to throw by stopping the run was a problem

I didn't say why...but Coleman is coming along and is our 3rd CB on the field (he isn't injured that much btw), we were one of the best teams in the NFL when it came to interceptions despite the lack of a pass rush (worst in the NFL). Earl was barely off of his knee rehab so he will be quicker and more explosive next season. Dunta is already a top corner in the NFL and I still feel Glenn is one of the top 10-15 CB's in the league.
