I think this should be a class for all the fans. For Carr to get the boos was out of line. I also believe when there is a bad product you have the right to voice your opinion, but also boo the o-line, the playcalling, the penalties, the fumbles, not just one guy. I know we all want to see the Texans have the highest rated passer, rusher, receiver, super bowl champs, etc, but there is more details to the game than what most people see as the final product! The o-line has focused so much on the run in the second half of the season since DD has come back, they seem to not care at all about pass protection, for anything further than a 5 step drop! Don't boo a guy running for his life, boo the guy who caused him to do so! :whew
 
The Carr boo was unnacceptable. We all know why he was sacked so many times, or why he didn't have time in the pocket. The coaches know why. The press knows why. And I'm sure the owner knows why.

I cringed 1 month ago when I watched the Dallas Cowgirls play on Thanksgiving day...only to have their starting quarterback booed during almost every play. Now it seems our fans are the same caliber as them?

I sure hope not.
 
Im pretty sure Carr didnt take it as it was all for him. He knows he is the leader, as the head of the team. He will take the boos, and he will take the wins.

He will also take millions of dollars each year. So I think he will be ok. ;)

And also when to be loud and when to be quiet. Seems like whenever we are in the redzone the home crowd gets real loud. um hello thats when we need to be quiet so they can hear each other at the line. I'd love to see some animations on the screens that read "Quiet! Offense at work" or something similar, or maybe have the PA anouncer say it. Just a thought. The funny thing is many of the people that do it probably dont visit this site or listen to sports radio or tv.

Actually that's exactly what they did for at least a couple of games. They put up a note of the board...it may have said the exact words you used above. I didn't notice it yesterday.

To be honest, though, I can't get my shorts in a wad over the home crowd making a bit of inadvertent noise when the home team in on offense. ****. They can play with some noise.

Everyone has a right to boo I guess if they want but I don't think it's right. Personally, I would only boo the Texans if they played very poorly over a long stretch of time (many games or even seasons) or appeared to be not trying. I would save it as a last final resort in desperation. But that's just me.

Way too much is being made over the booing. First of all it is a harmless way for the fans to express their displeasure. It doesn't hurt anyone and goes on at all 31 stadiums from time to time. Secondly, if the players can be held up for adulation and cheers when they do well, then they should also expect that the opposite might happen when they play badly. Booing does not make you a bad fan. It means that you care and are frustrated enough to voice your displeasure at a given situation. Of all the problems the Texans have going into the offseason, being booed does not even make the list. It is out of line for those of you who believe that your own dogmatic stance is the only perspective that should matter on these issues. It's my guess that you have chosen to do that because, like the rest of us, you are truly not happy with how things are unfolding with the Texans, but have decided to deflect the blame for the Texans failures upon the people who disagree with you, rather than on the Texans players and coaches like it should be. To me, a bad fan is one who acts like nothing is wrong, when things clearly are, just to not ruffle any feathers. I've said it before and I'll say it again. The Texans have to take responsibility for their own failings. Making excuses for them won't help one bit. The fans booing is one of the few ways for them to call on the Texans to be accountable for their own performances. There is nothing wrong with it.
 
This kind of reminds me of what happened to Tim Couch. Hopefully, Carr is not a bust like him, and our fans can be classier than Browns fans.
 
I prefer to deflect the blame for the Texans losses on my wife. That way I don't discourage the team, ya know. :slap:

Sundays are kinda hectic around here. :hairpull:

Hey, I respect the Browns fans... Talk about die hard.... (as someone who grew up in Ohio but was mistakingly raised as a Bengal's fan...)
 
I agree the fans have a right to boo to voice their opinion, since that is the only "direct way" we can. We can call radio talk shows, but often our views are skewed by the host and your point may or may not be understood, given the time limit they give you to speak. You can write the newspaper, but if they don't agree, it will never be posted or given to the editor. But to do it at the game is the best way. BUT, I was stating that most fans should look at the game as a whole. I realize Carr is the face of the offense, but when the O-line stinks, boo the o-line! When the linebackers don't wrap up to make a tackle, boo the linebackers. I can go on and on, but it just seems that we have become a football fan society that places everything in the lap of QB's that are supposed to have 300 yard 3 td games every week, and it just doesn't happen for most. 12 teams get to the playoffs, usually with a GOOD O-line, GOOD Defense, GOO special Teams, and most of all, GOOD coaching.........We didn't have any of these for long stretches of the season. Let's just agive a hearty BOO to the team, not just one player! :hairpull:
 
Totally agree brother...today is Tues. and I even more disgusted with the "Boos".The funny part is...after the "Boos" Carr scrambled for long yardage and the same people Booing...started cheering.*****s!!!Ya I said it..if you Booed our Q.B YOU ARE AN *****.

Come to think of it ...I guess Carr should be happy that the I D IO Ts booing him werent throwing beer bottles....Txnpride would have been going to jail Sunday 4_SURE :heh:
 
Booing does not make you a bad fan. The 35k + fans leaving with over 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter does. The “Die Hard” PSL holder’s leaving to go drink more in the parking lot instead of applauding the team after the game for a memorable season also makes you a terrible fan.

Booing a Q.B who doesnt have time to scan the field doesnt make the Booing public look very aware of what it takes to complete a pass in the NFL.I agree with you 100% on all the 35000 leaving early...says ALOT about them.I didnt even get tickets until 10:30 am Sun morning.I had to drive 1.5 hrs to get to Reliant.I arrived there with 2 min left until the half..NO WAY was I gonna miss seeing our boys on the field for the last game of the season...WIN OR LOSE.
