Flutie to Patriots

Vinny

shiny happy fan
I heard it on ESPN sports radio. I'm sure I can get a link soon. Good fit. Ends his career where he started it.

And I for one hope that, if the Texans aren't there (it could happen), he gets it.

What would be be better though would be Flutie off the bench through the playoff run and cap it all with a Super Bowl win and the first three-peat in Super Bowl history.

Patriots | More on Flutie Signing - from www.KFFL.com

Updating an earlier story, Nick Cafardo, reports for the Boston Globe, the contract signed by free agent QB Doug Flutie (Chargers) with the New England Patriots was for one-year. Flutie's signing was confirmed by his agent, Boston based Kristen Kuliga. Flutie received a contract proposal late Thursday night from the Patriots, right after he visited the New York Giants. The Patriots reportedly had been thinking about signing Flutie for a few weeks, but they wanted to hold off as they assessed their crop of backups.

I've often felt sorry for little Doug. Banished to Canada when he was so talented. 4-5 inches kept him from being one of the NFL great QBs.
Talented drummer too. He and his brother had the 'Flutie Brothers' going ... played with some big name groups.
