I'm not here
Titans Coach Jeff Fisher called Metro Nashville Police Chief Ronal Serpas into a team huddle. Following the arrest of a second Titan this week, Serpas helped the coach deliver a message to about 30 players who gathered for an unprecedented meeting.

The message: Professional athletes are subject to the law just like anyone else.

Titans safety Tank Williams was arrested and charged with DUI early yesterday morning. Two days earlier, Titans cornerback Samari Rolle was arrested and charged with domestic assault following an altercation with his wife.

Fisher and Serpas spoke to the gathering.

''I thought they were attentive, they were respectful,'' Serpas said. ''I told them, as I would say to any group, that everybody is innocent until proven guilty, but drunk driving and domestic violence continue to be two of the biggest issues that this nation and community faces and we need to be very serious about it. ...

''I was so very impressed with the seriousness that (Fisher) attached to this topic when he talked to his team.'' -Ben Maller

OJ in prison - nope
Jason Williams in prison - nope
Jason Giambi in prison - nope
Barry Bonds in prison - nope

The Real Message should be, don't get caught, or find a good lawyer.

I work my butt off to get my little paycheck while these spoiled brats make millions upon millions doing something that doesn't require a brain. Rudi Johnson plans to sit out for 6.25 million? Give me a break.

Very true, but they make what they make because of those of us who are willing to pay whatever it costs to buy season tickets, merchanise, etc.

I broke the habit back in the 80's with MLB. I used to take my family to as many home stands as we could. Then, when the players had their strike. I decided to quit going. I know that my little $50 or $60 didn't mean a hill of beans to the big picture. But, I felt better.

You know what makes reading that whole article worth while?
