First Time in Texas...

Canuck007

Practice Squad
Hi:

I am from Texas North (Alberta, Canada), and I am a huge NFL fan. My brothers and I are coming to Houston on December 13th, and we really want to see the Texans play (perhaps they will spoil the Patriots undefeated run like they did the Bengals).

Anyway, I was hoping to get some insider advice on getting tickets (we will need 4) as well as what to expect for game day (e.g. best time to arrive, parking issues, etc...).

If there is already a thread on this topic, please direct me there.

We are super pumped to see JJ Watt take on Brady, and we just want to make sure our experience is a good one.

Thanks for any advice.

Tix are available here, or on StubHub, etc. Oftentimes the best prices are on Craigslist, but you need to beware of scammers. In addition to game tix, you will want a parking pass. If the weather is nice, you might try tailgating. Everyone has their favorite lot but Yellow and Blue seem the best in my experience. Blue is closest to the stadium but is on concrete, whereas Yellow is a longer walk, it is on grass. Both have porta-johns. Gates open at 8 so get there early to stake out a good space as it is first come, first served. Bring a grill, meat to cook, cold beverages, etc. Try to arrive at the stadium by 11:15 or so in order to get to your seat by 11:30 and watch some of the pre-game activities.
Everything in the stadium is pricey (of course) so do as much eating and drinking as you can beforehand if you want to curb costs. No large bags, purses, etc are allowed unless they are transparent. No weapons, outside food or drink, etc are allowed in the stadium.
Enjoy!
