First news of Madden 06

They should make the AI where it will come to you with trade proposals also... That would be cool to get ready to draft, then some team offers you for your pick.

Anyone know how to get the rosters from NCAA 2005 to Madden 2005??

You can't send the full rosters over. You can only send each individual draft class over. I believe at the end of the season in NCAA there is an Export/Save Draft Class option.

Ya, you end your season and then in the offseason you go to players leaving. After your done convincing people to come back, when you try to get out it asks if you want to export the team i believe. Then you save it, and once you end your season on madden, after the pro bowl the game will ask you if you want to go to the offseason with options of yes no and import draft class. You click import and thats pretty much it.

Many people seem to think that EA bought out the NFL just so they won't have any comp, that is not the case. The NFL was on sell, they were looking for buyers and EA was the one with the most cash and best selling. And as far as the 2k series goes, it was ok, it had better graphics and I liked how you could gang tackle but other than that the game was lame. The worst part about it was that you can break tackles like crazy if you got good at it, a punter could break Ray Lewis' tackle for god sakes.

Yes, the NFL put up their license to the highest bidder, but EA has tried to get exclusive rights in the past. :goodbad:

http://sports.ign.com/articles/572/572886p1.html

"We (EA) have proposed exclusivity several times in the past, but this year, in the spring the NFL had an off-site meeting, and they decided to consider bids for exclusivity," Brown told IGN in an exclusive interview. "Several bids were submitted but they accepted EA's. I cannot tell you how much this cost, but exclusivity is expensive, we are paying a premium. It wasn't cheap. I can tell you this, though, all parties all happy with this agreement, and Wall Street seems happy with it too."

the XBOX 360 is gonna be sick, so will PS3, im plannin on making the trip to E3, first time whoo hoo! was listening to ESPN News, a new game coming out, dont know of the date is some game called Blitz ___ couldnt remember the secondary name, but its kind of like the old Blitz game, but better graphics, and there is an off the field mode, where you can place bets on your own team, illegal stuff like that, that the NFL doesnt allow.. the preview looked pretty sick

E3 isn't open to the public. Do y'all work in the industry? Just curious...

Anyway, the name of that game is Blitz: The League (formally known as Blitz: Playmakers) by Midway.

I say lob it to Gaffney:

I can only count 10 Texans on the field, and Todd Wade missed his block.

Well, at least they made it somewhat realistic. I see a bunch of empty seats at Altell.

Nice. :thumbup

I've already got my pre-orders for both Madden '06 and NCAA Football '06. Way cool.

I like the throwing vision feature they've added. In the past QB Awarness meant nothing in the game. People could choose vick and throw just as good a ball as Manning. Now if you pass outside the field of vision the pass will usually be offtarget. You can also more your field of vision while in play.. making it easy to fool oponents by looking off recievers. And YES, there is an option to let you turn this feature on and off.

There is also a new ball placement feature. As QB you can decide where you want the QB to place to ball. High and over the shoulder, low and near the ground, a straight bullet in the chest... it's all available based on your QB awarness and acuracy... this all sounds pretty sweet to me.

There is also a new "Truck Stuck" move. When carrying the ball you can flick the right analog stick towards the nearest defender and the ball carrier will lower his shoulder, attempting to run him over. From what i've read this is a risk/reward feature... you could break it for a long run... or fumble and loose the football.

On defense a few new twists have been added. First off, anyone who played a lot of Madden '05 knows it was a huge risk playing zone against a human opontent because all they had to do was motion and they could tell what defense you were playing. Now if you are in zone, your corners will move with the motion man, keeping your defense disguised.

Superstar Mode: This is the newest of game modes for Madden. It's basically like roleplaying the life of an NFL player. I hear it goes as far back as child birth. You select your parents. Go through highschool ball, college ball, play the senior bowl, go to the Combine in Indy and participate in individual drills, including the Wonderlick test. (You can also upload your player from NCAA '06 Road to the Heisman, or your NFL Street 2 created player).
After all of that it's draft time. Depending on how well you did throughout college, the senior bowl and the combine determines where teams draft you. You also select an agent, set the peramitors of what you look for in a team, ie: money, prestige, good headcoach, playing time etc... I've read that there are Many different roles your player can end up as... a bench warmer, a whiney premadonna, NFL Elite Superstar, Hall of Famer and many many more. You buy a house, as your imcome increases so does the size of your house. All of this sounds really great to me... Madden is gonna be amazing this year... no doubt.

This will be a launch title with the XBOX 360 releasing this November. So I recommend that you save that money and wait for it to be released with the 360 in November

the Superstar mode on Madden '06 and Rode to the Heisman on NCAA Football '06 sounds awsome

I'd love to go get it for PS2, however I am in my 5th yr of franchise mode for 05, and i want to see how many superbowls I can win...before i get the next one. I may have to skip it this year.

I think I'm going to skip Madden '06 for my X-Box, and get it for the 360 in November. :thumbup (I hope it has the same depth in franchise mode, though)

If thats true, then EA would have REALLY screwed this one up...how are you going to basically make it easy for terrible passing QBs like Mike Vick or Vinny Testerverde go 23-29,321 yds and 5 TDs? Keep it to where you can't turn that feature off, it makes the game more of a challenge.

Man I am back from LA and got to play Madden 06. Let me tell you guys that it is ****in awesome. No B.S. I think it will make those people who love madden love it even more. The field vision is great the RPG style rookie development is a nice new feature and they have added even more depth to the franchise mode. Aug. 8th is the release date so enjoy I will be getting it Aug. 3rd (thanks Darth C at EA). Hey buy the game and buy a couple for your friends we want the money people. I promise you will love it.

I cant wait! The Madden tourney is gonna be alot better this year with that new feature! Hopefully there wont be any gay glitches on this madden. I made it to the finals of the Madden tourney last year then I lost to some guy that knew all of the glitches. I would take the snap and b4 I could hand the ball to my RB, I would get sacked. Pissed me off! :brickwall

They have downloadable rosters for NCAA 2005 that has all of the players names, even the guys on Florida International University...

can anyone provide a link to these downloadable rosters cause it takes forever to go online and look the players up. but i guess being in college i had enough time cause me and my roommates always had time to give the players their real names.
