The NFL was on sell, they were looking for buyers and EA was the one with the most cash and best selling. And as far as the 2k series goes, it was ok, it had better graphics and I liked how you could gang tackle but other than that the game was lame. The worst part about it was that you can break tackles like crazy if you got good at it, a punter could break Ray Lewis' tackle for god sakes.
"We (EA) have proposed exclusivity several times in the past, but this year, in the spring the NFL had an off-site meeting, and they decided to consider bids for exclusivity," Brown told IGN in an exclusive interview. "Several bids were submitted but they accepted EA's. I cannot tell you how much this cost, but exclusivity is expensive, we are paying a premium. It wasn't cheap. I can tell you this, though, all parties all happy with this agreement, and Wall Street seems happy with it too."

i have a cousin that does, and he is workin some stuff for me.. my major in school is graphics, emphasis on computer games and video games... so last time i talked to him, i was gonna be able to come down and check some stuff out. we will see. in like 5 years tho, look for mine name in the madden credits, haha!dmt217 said:E3 isn't open to the public. Do y'all work in the industry? Just curious...
Anyway, the name of that game is Blitz: The League (formally known as Blitz: Playmakers) by Midway.

HardKnockTexan said:Superstar Mode: This is the newest of game modes for Madden. It's basically like roleplaying the life of an NFL player. I hear it goes as far back as child birth. You select your parents. Go through highschool ball, college ball, play the senior bowl, go to the Combine in Indy and participate in individual drills, including the Wonderlick test. (You can also upload your player from NCAA '06 Road to the Heisman, or your NFL Street 2 created player).
After all of that it's draft time. Depending on how well you did throughout college, the senior bowl and the combine determines where teams draft you. You also select an agent, set the peramitors of what you look for in a team, ie: money, prestige, good headcoach, playing time etc... I've read that there are Many different roles your player can end up as... a bench warmer, a whiney premadonna, NFL Elite Superstar, Hall of Famer and many many more. You buy a house, as your imcome increases so does the size of your house. All of this sounds really great to me... Madden is gonna be amazing this year... no doubt.
HardKnockTexan said:I like the throwing vision feature they've added. In the past QB Awarness meant nothing in the game. People could choose vick and throw just as good a ball as Manning. Now if you pass outside the field of vision the pass will usually be offtarget. You can also more your field of vision while in play.. making it easy to fool oponents by looking off recievers. And YES, there is an option to let you turn this feature on and off.
If thats true, then EA would have REALLY screwed this one up...how are you going to basically make it easy for terrible passing QBs like Mike Vick or Vinny Testerverde go 23-29,321 yds and 5 TDs? Keep it to where you can't turn that feature off, it makes the game more of a challenge.
