My plan was to get my wife pregnant strategically, so I have a designated driver for the entire season.
Might not be an option for every man...![]()

This is the dumbest quote I think I've ever read lol...no offense lol but what is the nfl gonna do? Put face recognition software cameras at ever entrance? No. Are they gonna post the people's mugshots at every entrance? No. There is no way to ban someone. My dad works security for the texans and he himself told me its impossible. On another note I'll be tagging along with him Sunday morning doing the bomb sweep with the bomb dogs. Should be pretty cool.
Society always punishes the majority for the actions of a minority of individuals.
And you are simply incorrect that it's not a solution. No alcohol for three+ hours when emotions are running high due to the nature of fans at sporting events?
BTW, I'm not necessarily advocating this course of action, but saying it's not a solution is simply incorrect.
My own take is to let adults make their own decisions in life and hold them accountable with the full force of the law when they get stupid with it.
In a sort of related story:
If HPD really wanted to "get tough on drunks", they would have some sobriety tests at the exits of the games.
Are you advocating for checkpoints as a good idea at NFL football games? Not sure if you were or not. That's why I asked to clarify.
That would be an awful slippery slope that would lead to all sorts of sanctions everywhere. Some of us are capable of drinking without getting deranged and aggressive or killing people.
No, not at all. It was more like 'random thoughts' from my head than anything else. If you know my perspective on liberty - i.e. libertarian - I would never advocate such a thing.
I was more commenting on the state saying that they are getting tougher on drunk driving - example would be the recent laws on blood tests for refusal - instead of actually doing something that would truly be more effective.
I think most people can drink responsibly, just like most folks could responsibly smoke pot. But, the state tends to punish everyone for the actions of a handful of imbeciles.
Guy is suing texans after being hit in the head with a falling piece of sign...
Well the guy is a retired NASA engineer and apparently just wants his medical bills covered.
ahh i see, i have a feeling mcnair will be more than willing..
I don't think Bob McNair owns Reliant Stadium. Houston Sports Authority maybe?
Just because his team is playing there does not make him responsible for the building, unless he is the owner, which I don't think he is. JMO
In other news a woman (Bills fan) at a Jets game got punched in the face yesterday.

(Video to go with it.)
When my wife and I attended the Redskins away game a few years ago we got heckled a little by opposing fans, but it was all in fun. Except for 1 guy, who was yelling some pretty horrific things at my wife while we were walking to our car. We never exchanged words with the guy-- didn't make eye contact, didn't respond, etc -- but he kept on with his routine. As a Texan fan you are in the minority, and getting into it is never a good idea, but man its hard to hear some of that stuff and keep on walking. I want to go to the Pats game this December, but after watching this I don't even know
We are planning to go to the Jets Monday night game, this video makes me seriously reconsider it. I am thinking the Monday night crowd is going to be even more high tension.
No Fly List. It's not impossible to do. Expensive, yes. Impossible, no.This is the dumbest quote I think I've ever read lol...no offense lol but what is the nfl gonna do? Horrible idea. If some moron gets himself banned and wants to waste his money on a ticket, let him. It's his own fault for trying to get into a game when he knew he wouldn't be allowed in.Clearly you haven't been a member here very long if the first sentence is true
Anyway, I don't think it would be that hard. Here are a few easy ways they could do it:
1. Print a "Do not sell list" Stub hub, ticketmaster, etc wouldn't be allowed to sell to that individual. If you decided to sell your seat by yourself, you'd be responsible for checking to ensure that no one on the list is buying your ticket. Exactly like Yankee said -- you are responsible for the behavior of the person receiving your ticket.

Yep, kinda strange when the governing entity (NFL Properties) encourages reselling your tickets through NFL Ticket Exchange.I have thought this every time I see a fight. If the seat owner is involved in the fight, kick them out for the season.
If the seat owner sold the tickets give them one and only one warning. If it happens again, revoke their tickets.
I don't see that (sell-for-profit) anywhere in the PSL agreement. The closest thing is in 7dActually, it is in your PSL/season ticket holder agreement. You are responsible for how people in your seat act.
In fact, I think selling your tickets for profit also violates the agreement, yet the NFL has TicketExchange. Go figure.
Licensee is acquiring this PSL for Licensee's own use and not with a view to the distribution of this PSL or tickets to others; and
Danny, you're playing with fire buddy!Thats what I did! She dropped my buddy and I off at Reliant yesterday, and picked us up right on time. It was nice!![]()
There are conflicting responsibilities / liability depending on the event and/or the service(s) involved. Blame can be shared by multiple entities (think deepwater horizon) People like to sue those with the deepest pockets.I don't know what's going on or who is responsible but apparently he has hired lawyers. I think McNair might be reluctant to accept blame...that'd be three events within the past month or so where safety at his stadium might be a concern.
Apparently they sign company is saying horseplay was involved, but they aren't giving specifics...
To me it seems like everyone is trying to deflect the blame.

The language about selling the PSL 'for profit' was stated in there (though not listed as illegal per se), but I never really saw anything about selling individual game tickets.Maybe it was in the old agreement before the started partnering with and then owning a scalping service.
I remember something because around 2-14 people came on here and complained that their 'investment' was doing poorly and the response was always the language that says something about not selling them for profit.
Oh, okay. I pretty much agree then.
What if they limited people at games to no more then 4 beers?
You could give them a a bracelet that could be marked or something? Just thinking of ideas out loud.
Yeah, no kidding. Apparently they have no issue hitting women, so that's definitely something to think about. Hopefully it was just a handful of morons and not an accurate representation of the entire fanbase at the stadium.
Either way, take some bear spray with you. Spray that crap in their eyes & they'll leave you alone for the rest of the game. If nothing else, they won't be able to see you to hit you.![]()
