Fansided.com Tom Brady rumors to be traded to Bucs, Texans

Say what you want about Uncle Rico but I have personally seen him, with my own eyes, throw a football over a mountain.

I wonder if he'll try using the time machine again to go back in time. Don't forget the crystals Tio Rico Suave.

Super Bump for Super Done Brady. :tomato:

Don't think this hasn't crossed my mind.

Here's what I consider possible: The league has enough evidence and statistical data to implicate Belichick in routine cheating going back five years (They suspended Sean Payton an entire season with no smoking gun). Belichick was already on deferred adjudication after the league destroyed the Spygate evidence. And his timing could not have been worse: Two weeks before the Super Bowl during a season of PR embarrassments for the NFL.

So Belichick may be banned. I don't know how Brady would get out of his contract, but he'd want out. If he does jump ship, he'd be swimming to O'Brien.

A few "if's" in there, but it's possible.

After his restructure this year the Pats can cut him with no hit. He would ask to go IMO.

After Seattle pushes their **** in this Sunday I can also see Bill just deciding to move on.

Either way I personally do not want him here.

Why would Bill decide to move on? I highly doubt that the Patriots will face any major punishments.

So they would suspend Sean Payton, but pardon Belichick after his second offense?

One source described the league as "disappointed ... angry ... distraught" after spending considerable time on the findings earlier Tuesday.

It seems like they're not taking it lightly.

Nature of the violations are much different.

Take on-field penalties as an example. Not all penalties are equal. Some allow a replay of the down and just a five yard punishment.

Others, loss of down and in the case of defensive PI, there could be serious yardage lost as punishment.

Then go to extreme end of penalties, unsportsmanlike ones, and players can be kicked out of the game.

What the Saints were doing was much more serious than this ball inflation situation. They purposefully created an incentive system designed to hurt/injure other players. They created a mercenary reward that clearly put other players in danger. This is akin to flagrant unsportsmanlike conduct and the penalty reflected it.

It remains to be seen what comes of this ball inflation story, but I would be shocked if the punishment was more than monetary and a draft pick or two. And without clear smoking gun evidence, something the league had with the Saints bounty story, I doubt the NFL will suspend or ban one of its greatest coaches.

Beliarcheat is a friend and Payton wasn't. Of course they will be treated differently. They MAY lose a 5th round choice and call it severe in a PR stunt to ignore the truth of favoritism, but actually suspending the coach just isn't going to happen to friends of Goodell.

ps If you think I doubt the integrity of Goodell and the NFL, you'd be right. He and Beliarcheat are peas in a pod.

Where does all this hogwash about "integrity of the NFL" come from?

This is a league that, until recently when forced, actively hid scientific evidence about the long-term health implications of the sport. There is no integrity in this league. It is all about entertaining people to make a lot of money. Believing in ethics in such an industry is being naive about it.

MSR by the way. I tried.

Brady is done. Must draft the franchise QB, please no more Ahman Green/Ed Reed "lets hope he still has it" mercy contracts and signings.

So, the Patriots go on to only lose one more game for the remainder of the season other than in week 17 when they didn't play their starters. Brady was an MVP candidate that should have arguably won.

And Tom Brady has now won the SB and gotten his 3rd SB MVP.

:spit: Oh, the irony in this thread.

They should have added some refs in this cartoon that were being paid money to effect games. DOn't forget two years ago when those replacement refs came in and messed up all kinds of things. That Packers game where they won at the end and they gave it to the Seahawks. That to me, was the worst situation that we've seen under Goodell when those refs were all on strike and we had to deal with those replacement refs.

Getting rid of a commish is harder than getting rid of a United States President though. I've never seen it happen in my lifetime, and we watched Selig and Stern both have huge scandals in their leagues. I don't think Goodell ever goes anywhere.

Agreed. As long as Goodell is making billions for his bosses, he ain't goin' no place.

Brady lost something at Super Bowl...

Groundswell convinced him to give the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado truck he won for being named MVP to SB hero CB Malcolm Brown.

I just had to look up this post for a good laugh.

I'm sure I will do it many more times to get me through a boring offseason.

Poor guy, guess he'll go back to driving his Audi R8 to the practice facility.
