Will you be watching the NFL draft on ESPN or NFLN?

For me it's ESPN just because I've watched on that station for the past couple of years and I don't love it but I have gotten used to it.

ESPN by habit, not by choice.

You're hlaf way to the cure....The disney sport channel is arrogant, condensending and here lately, more often than not, when it come to the draft, wrong. Couple that with the fact that thier football progrming gets pushed behind baseball and basketball and hockey.... you're basiclly licking the boot that kicks you when you patronize them.

NFLN has an online feed you can watch. I did it last year when I didn't have cable. This year I do, but don't have NFLN (can't stand the ESPN), so I'll do the online feed.

i'm gonna try my best to watch it on NFLN. If not, i will at least go half and half. I'm a creature of habit, and if i can keep things the same as they were, i am good. So if i can watch it on NFLN, maybe i can form a new habit. I hate listening to Schefter talk though, i hate his voice.

NFLN, although it will be hard to get used to the bile rising in my throat whenever Deion begins to talk.
What's your problem with Deion ? I think he's an entertaining, intelligent guy who brings a lot of insight and humor.
But I'm toggling back & forth between the 2, lovin every minute of it. Great coverage by both but so far I'm leaning to the NFLNetworks coverage. The
insider talk, including personnel analysis is better IMO. We'll see what the coverage is like once the Draft actually begins.

Sorry I'm with them. I like ESPNs coverage. Eisen is one of my favorites but I like the panel as a whole for ESPN. Deion gets on my last nerve when he speaks.

god, ESPN is dumb once again. they always make some little mistake that ruins the overall draft experience. when the player is drafted and they go on stage to get the jersey and shake hands etc, they have that in this tiny little window while a window showing their highlights takes up 2/3rds of the screen. you have PLENTY of time to show the highlights, show the guy getting his hat and jersey, jesus.

Anyone elses NFLN having audio issues? I switching back and forth.

I have been watching ESPN predominately but when I went to NFL before it was having audio problems. If I see a NFLN guy interviewing when ESPN is on the player I move over. Deion was with Chris Long earlier on ESPN so I switched to catch it.

I actually like the highlights. We get to see replays of the guy posing with the jersy for the next few days. I can see them in 40% of the screen. It really isn't a big deal.

I'm watching on ESPN. I like how after the pick is announced, they show highlights of the player. NFLN just shows they guy walking around with his hat on and stuff.

NFLN also gets the interviews and still shows highlights. I like seeing the guy with his hat and jersey. Their first time entering the NFL.

Well, its not like they don't show the highlights.

They show him walking around and then they show the highlights.

Or in Gholston's case, they showed him before he was even picked. XD

New strategy. Whenever one goes to commercial, I switch to the other. When they break, I switch back.

It's a little easier now that I dont have to juggle the Stros game in there too.

ESPN did the worst job I have ever seen. After the 1st of half of round 1 they just seemed to give up. They didnt talk about the teams picking and barely addressed the picks in the second round. I my favorite part was when they were randomly showing terrell owens running some routes while a trade and pick was happening that they didn't even speak of. The commerical were horribly placed but could have been overlooked if they at least addressed the team picking or the pick that had just occured. They talked football but nothing pertaining to what was happening in the draft. SOMEONE BETTER LOSE THIER JOB OVER THIS! It was the worst coverage I have every seen

NFLN only because I can tolerate Reggie-Bush lover Marshall Falk. But the rest of the crew seem to be a bit open to Texans franchise.

ESPN has been anti-Texan for years. Chris Berman seems to always have "Oh, god. We have to talk about the Texans" look in his face.

seems nearly every fan thinks ESPN hates their team. it's adorable.

Seems to me that would imply that every team gets the same amount of coverage.

While I would agree that Miami is not at the top of the list (like Indy or Dallas). Houston is not one of them regardless.

Except bad news ("Houston passes on Bush and Vince!" covered for months!). Oh, yeah. They covered that! Mario gets 14.5 sacks? A few short stories here and there.

Either we way. Well all know that EPSN is the "highlight" channel. That's why flashy players get the headlines on that channel. Thus, I pick NFLN.

of course every team doesn't get equal coverage. and they shouldn't. they report the news, and the stories. teams that win and teams that make big noise will obviously and deservedly get more press.

While I agree with the premise...
That's not how it works in Texas and considering how ESPNs programing has been created. Cowboys get coverage no matter how BAD they are doing. I don't expect you to understand this unless you lived in Houston for years.

Bias exist in the media. It's just subtle. And then when you take into account the STYLE of the programing (EPSN vs NFLN). You can add the flash factor to the equation (winning or NOT).

Maybe if you had the Miami Cowboys in your state you might understand how it really is.

Don't get me wrong. It's not as bad as 2006 after the draft. But it has always been there just because we share the state with "America's Team."

there's going to be an exception in every sport, the one team that's recognized as the country's "team." Notre Dame, Cowboys, Lakers, Yankees, etc.

but i've heard non-stop from many Dolphins fans how biased the media is against them. blah blah blah. it's nonsense.

there's no bias against the Texans. that'd be the least sensical bias in sportscasting.

We don't get NFLN in Austin on Time Warner, so I had no choice... but ESPN's coverage is absolutely abhorrent. It's all them trying to be clever and funny, and their bumpers and graphics are just so over-the-top ridiculous, it makes you sick. The ESPN team REPEATEDLY talked over the picks and trade explanations.

Their presentation is 75% sizzle, 25% content/analysis.

NFLN for Day 2 because I like picks to be talked about and ESPN is too busy babbling about Day 1 and not paying attention to 3rd round picks.

so far ESPN has been good with the 3rd rounders

Everytime I'm there they are running down players in a panel. However they did get the Texans while NFLN was away. I thought ESPN was better yesterday. NFLN seems to be giving some in depth talk on individual picks today

We got rid of NFLN until the season. When I signed up with Comcast it was $4. but we found out it had gone up to like $9.
