This is why this team is going to be special. You see it at a lot of positions. The changes are going to be astonishing. Its not going to be about individuals its going to be about a team that became a team.
i really love the way we've handled this offseason. we got the coach who i'd been hoping for since we started this franchise. we landed great football minds to assist (sherman, reeves). we had a KILLER draft. we were very aggressive aquiring players who fit the system in free agency (putz & cook are prime examples).
and we loaded up on veterans! flanagan, moulds, kalu, cowart, antwain smith, & rainer, along with our current veterans, immediately upgrade everyone around them because of their experience.
we're hearing mostly about moulds & AJ, but there are others to keep an eye on also. flanagan's going to bring a lot to carr's game, because carr will be more confident with a true probowler right infront of him, and also because flanagan's spent the last 10 years working with & learning from david carr's hero ... brett favre. cowart & rainer not only add talent and depth, but they're also wisened voices for guys like anderson, orr, ryans, & evans to learn from. these guys are going to do exactly what aaron glenn & jamie sharper did. they're going to be leaders in the locker room, challange the guys around them to be better, and with their teachings, put the younger guys on the fast track to success. "special" & "team" are deffinately the most fitting terms used to describe our 2006 texans.
i have NEVER been more excited about football (and if you read my posts this time last season, you'd have a hard time believing i was a texans fan).
