E. Brown: Walter Camp Defensive Player of the Week

TexansSeminole

Hall of Fame
With 3.5 sacks, 4.5 tackles for loss, and a forced fumble Everette Brown has won the defensive player of the week award from Walter Camp.

The offensive player of the week was running back Phillip Tanner of Middle Tennesee St. He ran for 159 yards on 14 carries and 5 touchdowns. Also had a 92 yard kick return for a score. He finished with 301 all purpose yards.

It looks like Brown is playing his way into the first rd.

I was hoping he would fall to 2nd rd. He is the pass rusher we need opposite MW.

A real sleeper pick IMO.

I'm looking forward to seeing him play against Fla.

He's second in the nation in sacks with 12.5 and first in the nation in tackles for loss with 20.5. He's got 3 forced fumbles on the season and a fumble recovery. I think he has already played himself into the first round.

I mean the guy has 22 sacks and 45.5 TFL on his career, and he has been absolutely dominate as of late. Last game he took snaps at DT, and got 2 sacks from that position. He put the nastiest spin move I have ever seen on this Maryland guard. After the game he spoke about being a student of the game, and understanding team's tendencies on certain down and distance. He's a smart player, who would fit well with the team character wise as well.

As for the game against Florida, I expect it to be about the same as Georgia Tech. Our DEs have to worry about containment so he won't have the luxury of pinning his ears back like he does against these pro-style offenses. I don't expect a big game sack wise from him, but you should see him making plays nonetheless.

Here is a fantastic highlight video of E. Brown this year that was posted yesterday on YouTube. Watching this gives me chills. Seminole fans will miss him dearly.

Man that was impressive.

I think we will finish 6-10, that means we will be picking around no.10 I would take him.

I would take him over the Ga. Tech DE

He looks like a young Charles Haley to me.

That spin move @ 8:30 was awsome. Both the guard & the FB were suppoed to block him & they both whiffed.

I would love to see him opposite MW. You would have an instant pass rush.

I know that you are an ACC fan are there any space eating DT in the confrence that we could pick in the 2nd RD. ?

I like Raji but believe he wil be gone before we pick in the 2nd.

I also like the other DT @ BC (cant remember his name). He played a great game against WF.

Yea he does a good job mixing up his moves, and a good job setting up his moves, and he is only getting better. I love watching him play.

I'm pretty sure after that hit you were talking about the Maryland QB didn't want to play anymore, because after that he really didn't do alot in the game except run for his life.

As far as a big DT other than Raji, I'll have to look more.

Imagine the pass rush we would have with Brown opposite MW.

The Maryland QB looked lik he would rather be somewhere else after Brown hit him a couple of times.

I would love to see Manning with that look on his face.

Yeah, serious shades of Dwight Freeney there. I would not at all be opposed to spending our first on him. He and the rest of our D-line would wreck havoc in the aggressive defensive scheme that I'm praying we get once Smith gets the boot.
