The Hakeem situation in 92 was worse than this and thats why I'm not trading him.
Remember when they said Dream was faking the hamstring injury? He called the owner and gm liars and cowardsHe’s not Hakeem for darn show. And the Dream didn’t threaten to sit out to get his way either.
Unfortunately, I don't think Culley, Caserio, Cal, Easterby and Watson are scheduled to be on a 14 hour flight together. The Hakeem situation in 92 was worse than this and thats why I'm not trading him.
It can be arranged.Unfortunately, I don't think Culley, Caserio, Cal, Easterby and Watson are scheduled to be on a 14 hour flight together.
It can be arranged.
Like an old sitcom, make it a set up: Tell them each.
DW: We have traded you and provided a plane for you to go see your new team
Easterby: DW wants to be baptized again.
Culley/Caserio: Get on the plane.
Cal: We got you the biggest box of large crayons and a My Little Pony coloring book.
Hmm, I dont know.... Cal is probably a furry...he would probably color the ponies to look like Toro..... in which case when Easterby finds him doing to that coloring book, literally, what he has been figuratively doing to the team.....Never work, you’d need to get Cal a Sponge Bob Squarepants coloring book.

Easterby would call it sinful, demand Cal never do such things..... leading to Cal firing him immediately.
Might not work out as originally planned, but could still work.
Not lately, but fear not... my wife tells me every day.Have I mention lately you’re a little scary in how your mind works?
CORRECTION: The Texans are not $21.6MM UNDER the cap needed to TRADE DW4. Currently the Texans are < $5MM UNDER THE cap.The Texans now have enough cap room to trade DW4.
I like how Nick is playing it. Deshaun’s team wondering why he hasn’t been traded yet. Nick says it will be on his terms.
and that may or may not have happened already. I am ready for some finality.Caserio doesn’t have the authority to trade Watson. That has to come from the owner. Janice McNair. She has yet to interject herself into the situation. At some point, she will.
At this point if they do decide to trade DW4 it is going to be very painful getting to the magical $21.6 MM under the cap in order to trade DW4.Caserio doesn’t have the authority to trade Watson. That has to come from the owner. Janice McNair. She has yet to interject herself into the situation. At some point, she will.

If I am correct the current cap space of $5 million accounts for his base salary of $10.54. If traded the prorated remaining bonus of $21.6 m hits but also if traded, that base goes to new team and is subtracted [easy way to example]: 21.6 - 10.54= $11.06- $5 (current space)= new increase of $6.06. This is allowable (as I understand) until the NFL date where all teams must meet cap. In summary, we have to find 6.06 by that date and that is not insurmountable.CORRECTION: The Texans are not $21.6MM UNDER the cap needed to TRADE DW4. Currently the Texans are < $5MM UNDER THE cap.

Main reason why I thought it was dumb to restructure Cooks so early when they really didn't have to. If they traded Cooks that would be a $4MM bonehead move.Essentially, a Cooks trade away if a Watson trade is struck. Cooks would be more desireable based on his new money. Before I put the cart ahead.....can Cooks be traded so soon after agreeing to re-structure his contract?
Not playing trade machine. Grading NC GM skills or lack thereof. So far it is everything you would expect from a Cal McNair hire. They’re not trading Cooks thus the reason why they restructured his contract. Lol I know we love to play trade machine, but let’s be realistic.
Sure. If the Texans don't mind eating that $10 million bonus they just gave him. Of course, the could have traded Cooks with zero cap hit prior to the contract redo...can Cooks be traded so soon after agreeing to re-structure his contract?
