Draft Tracker 2025

I'm a Higgins guy.

And Elijah Arroyo at 2-58.

Draft all OL after that.
I think this gets you your best outcome. Lots of good solid OL prospects left.

IOL Tate Ratledge, Georgia (7.6)
56. OT Aireontae Ersery, Minnesota (7.5)
59. IOL Jonah Savaiinaea, Arizona (7.5)
76. OT Ozzy Trapilo, Boston College (7.4)
82. OT Marcus Mbow, Purdue (7.3)
83. IOL Jared Wilson, Georgia (7.3)
86. OT Cameron Williams, Texas (7.3)
90. IOL Miles Frazier, LSU (7.2)
95. IOL Wyatt Milum, West Virginia (7.1)
103. OT Charles Grant, William & Mary (7.0)
139. IOL Dylan Fairchild, Georgia (6.7)
162. IOL Drew Kendall, Boston College (6.5)
166. OT Anthony Belton, North Carolina State
177. OT Jalen Travis, Iowa State (6.4)
188. IOL Hayden Conner, Texas (6.3)
193. OT Logan Brown, Kansas (6.2)

The 1st round didn't turn out the way the Texans had hoped. But they can still turn a lemon into lemonade. The Texans may not pick at 2.34. In his post 1st round presser, Caserio did say there was a player still on the board they were considering at 1.25. But there are still players available that teams will be willing to move up for.
Donovan Ezeiruaku, Mike Green, Nick Emmanwori. There will be a WR run soon. One player that could get a lot of interest is UCLA LB Carson Schwesinger. Should be an opportunity for continuing to stockpile picks for the 2026 draft.

Round 2, Pick 34 (from Giants)
Round 2, Pick 58
Round 3, Pick 79 (from Miami through Philadelphia and Washington)
Round 3, Pick 89
Round 3, Pick 99 (from Giants)
Round 6, Pick 179 (from Cleveland)
Round 6, Pick 216 (from Cleveland)
Round 7, Pick 236 (from Denver through Philadelphia and Washington)
Round 7, Pick 241
Round 7, Pick 255 (from Cleveland)

This a list of picks I seen Houston has for this draft cycle, could you fellas tell me if this is accurate? I'll be honest I'm not a draft watching or tracking type of guy. If so they got quite a few picks coming up quickly that will be interesting to see what Caserio could cook up.

Looks like a pile of late round talented picks to trade and deal before deadlines with no?

Maybe the later rounds is where they find blessings in disguise. Ask players like Joe Montana and Tom Brady for starters.

What do y'all think of Ozzy Trupilo OT Boston College?

Him and Ersery are the best OT candidates left. Advantage for Trapilo is he played under OB so probably ran a similar system AND he was the rare OL that improved while playing under OB.

what about the center from Georgia: Jared Wilson? why aren't you college football gurus mentioning him as a possibility somewhere between 34-58.

I think he’ll be going next top 10 picks due to positional scarcity. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Texans take him betting on upside. He has Linderbaum athleticism just a little more raw.

I could see us consider both Darius Alexander DT and TreVeyon Henderson RB.

I think I would go with Henderson, he fits the mold of "Texans". Four year player, team captain, explosive and hard worker. Has familiarity with CJ and comes at a position of need. If we aren't able to fix the OL, the next best option is to add an explosive play maker. I love Mixon, but RB's get banged up a lot. Give the guy a solid backup to take some of the load off, but one that doesn't take away from the field.

Henderson is my pick of the RBs still available. He is very similar to Jahmyr Gibbs or Alvin Kamara. And he has shown he is an unselfish teammate who will find a way to help his team win after pairing with Judkins for a National Title run last season. Just checks all the intangible boxes and does all the little things as a player with homerun potential to match.

Would be a nice combo with him and Mixon and we know New England used multiple backs when Caley coached there…

If I go Henderson at 34, I would strongly consider trading up some for Tate Ratledge OG. Good mauler, handles stunts well, and just plays hard and dirty. Another multi year year with solid experience.

I’d say it’s very likely they trade up in the second and acquire two players they had high grades on. Like a mini version of the CJ/Will Anderson trade up.

Would love to just take Henderson #34, but think NEED of enforcing interior OL to great to pass on Tate Ratledge.

Reason why the board didn’t fall in the Texans favor was 8 OL went in first round alone. Maybe if Zach Martin didn’t retire, Booker would have fallen to the Texans but he did and Cowboys drafted for need.

Now it’s the Texans turn. Ratledge is the highest graded IOL left on the board. Texans must stick and pick. Then can move around to get rest of their guys.

Texans don’t need to do anything. They have enough ammo to move right back up in the second if they choose. Or anywhere really. 5 picks in top 100. 5 more picks in rounds 6 and 7 plus the 2026 war chest. Let Nick cook!

I wonder what Tricky Nick has planned for his five draft choices tonight? What are the odds there's another trade? Five picks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds can get some decent players, maybe even a starter or two. Hopefully.

Texans need to trade back and pick up an extra 1st rd pick in 2026.
I would have much rather had Atlanta's #46 and their 1st RD in 2026, the Rams got at #26, 1 behind the Texans—much better value. IMO the NYG would have paid a 2026 first rd for Jaxson Dart, if pressed. Dart was their guy. NYG #65 vs #99 would've been a better value.

I think that's accurate. My speculation is that they'll stick and pick at 34 and then try to package 58 and a 3rd to move up to the 40s. I'm guessing Higgins could be on the table at 34. The other 2nd rounder I'm thinking Ratledge, Jonah S., or maybe Ersery. 3rd round I'm thinking TE, DT, and RB are the next considerations.

You’re hearing some of these anonymous quotes or anonymous scouts… My response to everybody has been: he’s never been arrested, he’s never had a public incident at our University, he has never once been to my office to complain about his role, never once complained publicly about ‘I’m not getting enough touches’, has just been a great teammate, an All-American.”
Mizzou HC Drinkwitz

Minnesota's Aireontae Ersery is huge (6-6, 331) and still moves quickly. He's shown to be a very effective OT at either end, but spent his last 38 games holding down the LT position protecting the blind side. He would be a great choice for the Texans.
Checks all the boxes.

I took Burden off my board weeks ago. If he is the guy, I will trust that they have done their due diligence. Higgins is the way better choice from what info I’ve seen…but it’s not like we know what they know. Nick and Meco have my confidence.

For me I’m down to Higgins and Henderson if they stay at 34. If Cleveland passes on Sanders…expect another trade.

I attended Mizzou as an undergrad and have stayed in touch since. I am not hearing good things about him and his attention to football. Arrests or public incidents are very limited in evaluating "character" and other issues. Deshaun Watson is one of many examples.

I'd love Higgins, but I'm also bearing in mind he'll need time to develop. But with Nico and Kirk on the roster he has time to do so while not being a primary threat for the opposing defense.

FWIW: Higgins is the top WR prospect left, per Steve Smith. He thought a team might sneak into the 1st to get him. He considers him a high volume WR2 guy.
